In Response to Re: I think I've broken the Thews at 10 : Well I was 2nd at the time it froze - it took me 10 mins to get onto live chat and I was on there for 45mins. In the meantime other players were accumulating chips. + what happens to the peeps that were still in and had a rebuy early.? IMO a full refund is the only possible outcome including the re-buy. Posted by POKERTREV
The tournament has started and most players are still active
If the tournament has started and most players are still active, a full refund of the buy in amount and any additional fee's will be given to the remaining active players. This rule will be applied to all tournaments unless the total number of players left in the tournament is equal to or less than the declared number of paid places for that particular tournament.
For those who don't like clicking links here is the relevant piece.

I think it's going to be pretty much as I posted earlier. And I don't think you will be entitled to both buy ins if you have had your rebuy. I also regard this as fair in this instance as you could only rebuy if you were down to zero. Your first buy in was effectively out and already in the prizepool. Of course I am open for arguments against this,
my link didnt work for some reason so heres the full rulez from the sky poker help page
Tournament Cancellations
Sky Poker Tournament Cancellation Policy
Sky Poker aims to provide our players with an enjoyable poker experience and we realise that in certain circumstances, which can be caused by a variety of reasons, that it may be necessary on certain occasions to cancel tournaments.
If it becomes necessary to cancel a tournament we will endeavour to treat you fairly. The specific circumstances relating to any cancellation will be a determining factor in how we deal with the cancellation of each separate tournament.
Sky Poker will not be held responsible for any failure to provide its poker service due to unforeseen circumstances or causes, which are beyond our reasonable control.
These may include, but are not limited to: fire, flood, earthquakes, war, acts of terrorism, fibre cuts, failure of the telecommunications or information services infrastructure, hacking or spam attacks.
By participating in a tournament a player accepts the risk of an internet disconnection, lag or freezes. Sky Poker does not accept any responsibility for player disconnections. In the case of a server crash, Sky Poker will implement the following tournament cancellation policy as detailed below:
The tournament has not yet started
If the tournament has not started, a full refund of the buy in amount and additional fees will be given.
The tournament has been cancelled and all remaining players are in the paid places
All remaining players will receive a payout based on the total number of chips they hold when the tournament was cancelled. The player who has the highest number of chips being deemed to have finished first and the player with the second highest number of chips being deemed to be second etc. This payout will be the total of the unclaimed portion of the prize pool for the tournament prior to the server crash, which will be distributed to each remaining player based on their final finishing position as explained above. The payment each individual will receive will be in line with the tournaments displayed payout structure.
What happens if I am playing in a guaranteed or added prize tournament which is cancelled?
If a tournament with a guaranteed or added prize pool is cancelled Sky Poker will only refund the total buy in with one exception. In the case that all the remaining players in a tournament are equal to or less than the number of paid places, i.e. they are all 'in the money', then the guaranteed or added prize will be honoured and form part of the tournament settlement.
In the event of any dispute, Sky Poker's Poker Manager's decision will be final.
Cancelling Registration for a Tournament
It is possible to cancel a registration for a Poker tournament. You'll get your money back as long as you do it in good time before the start of the tournament.
To cancel a registration, go to the 'Poker Lobby' and click on 'My Tables'. The name of your tournament will appear in the middle of the screen, click on it and then click 'Cancel Registration' on the right-hand side. Confirm you want to cancel it and you'll be shown a confirmation message, your funds will be returned to your account within a couple of minutes.
Please note that if you've won entry to a tournament via a satellite and then cancel the registration, you won't receive any money back for the cancellation as your entry was of no monetary value. If you are unable to make the tournament then please contact Customer Care and we may be able to make alternative arrangements.

This does sound sensible when you put it like that.
In Response to Re: I think I've broken the Thews at 10 : I agree - Firstly they told me it was a problem with my flash player and they couldn't offer me a re-fund. Until I told them that Tikay's table was frozen too - then they went for a manager. It was very frustrating having them try to pass on the blame to me first of all. I also kept a copy of the chat log for reference. I'm sure it will get sorted but customer services are really hard work at times. Posted by POKERTREV
lol when uv spoke 2 cust serv as much as I have u get used to it, pretty certain they dnt even listen and just go thru a standard script of, no one else has reported it, it must be ur fault, have u restarted ur comp, cleared ur temp int files etc etc

I think this will be a tricky one to speculate on what the settlement policy will be.
Since the tournament was running fine for some tables but frozen for others for a good 20 mins+ refunding all initial buy-ins and putting rebuys into a finishing position prizepool wouldn't be fair either.

Yea I agree its a little tricky - I was sitting 2nd in the tourny when our table froze and I was 12th buy the time I eventually got my point accross to customer services and it was cancelled. - But I'm not bitter lol.
I woulda kicked Thewey's behind anyway lol, perhaps he got scared and hit the pause button hee hee!
In this very unusual happening i believe the best resolve would be ,
All peeps who bought in including rebuys be refunded & as a good will gesture by sky poker , they then will run a £500 freeroll simultaneously to next weeks Thews@10 for above players .

This happened when a player lost his chips after a re-buy. In the meantime other tables gradually stopped as players lost their re-buy.

I dont want a freeroll aswell unless its on same day again? maybe just refund and free entry to next weeks one whoever was affected
I have spoken to an advisor and apparently when all table froze i was 16th and will be paid for 16th.
i think it best if everyone who was in tourney has entry refunded as that seems the fairest way of doing it
Can you have a word and ask them if I can have the same cards I had last night please?
I did notice a strange thing last night though -
The play seemed quite aggressive early on. Do you think this is down to having the re-buy cushion?
