An 18th place finish in Thursday's BH Main event and 24th in the BH mini, ensured Tuesday to Thursday produced a profit of £39.02
September Profit + £1584.61
September Points = 3,196
As a side issue, with one day remaining I am currently 32nd in the MTT league, (was 35th 3 days ago), it's an outside chance, but today, as I have been doing for the last week or so, I will be trying to move into the top 30, which means playing as many MTT's as possible, so bankroll management goes out the window today!
Dont think i will be playing tonight so will post up my final months totals now.
Total poker profit in september = +£5683.49 Total cash 4 points 12,263 = +£350
Total profit all inc = +£6033.49
Month started slow for me but picked up again towards the middle before slowing again near the end, all in all im happy with the profit from september but one thing i will try and do more of next month is to try and grind cash4points alot more as im sure if i put the time in i could be getting at least double what i got this month and poss alot more as long as it didnt make my profit suffer.
Good luck to everyone who has been posting on this thread and like Dohhh said in his post it has been a good one.
In Response to Re: **** SEPTEMBER PROFIT CHALLENGE THREAD **** : Hey Debs just wondering how do you get so many points as often I see you only play 1-2 tables at a time ? Posted by Dudeskin8
Well dont forget i sat into main events , the sky roller gave me 100 pts , thurs b;h main event gave me 100 , think i played that twice this month , other ME's give 80 + i play alot of other mtt's sng's as well as the cash tables , 10 and 20nl mostly BUT i have played a bit of nl30 and nl50 also , it soon adds up mate 2037points gained this month
Ok thats it for the month, havent had a great week due to personal reasons (which I wont go into) its amazing how your frame of mind can affect your poker play.
Had a minor recovery today, to finish below my peak level of profit at £630, also managed 10k poker points which produces £330 (including 25% bonus for priority club) so thats a total profit of £960.
I should be pleased with this but know it could have easily have been more than a grand, next month im setting a target of 1.5k profit and cash for points of at least 16k.
In Response to Re: **** SEPTEMBER PROFIT CHALLENGE THREAD **** : After bragging a little about my cash percentage yesterday I didn't cash either of the 2 £20 gtd PLOs today. First one was bbv, all in on flop with set against 2 pair, lost to runner runner flush. Second one play was 4-handed, 3 cash, I was second low stack. Big stack hat bet pot on flop and turn, short stack had called all in. I had 2 pair and nfs on double-flushing board. I figured big stack was either trying to bully the short stacks or had me beat, but if I hit I would get a lot of chips and have a good chance to win and even if big stack holds I finish third and cash due to stacks. Of course short stack binks the wrong flush, big stack has a set and I go out in 4th. I'm quite upset both with my luck and because I could have easily folded on the flop as I only had middle pair + nfd at that point. Balance today: -£11.00 Balance MTD: +£68.87 Posted by Giant811
Unfortunately I couldn't finish the month on a high. Played 1 £20gtd and the £1000gtd PLO as well as a £3.30 PLO8. Finished third in the PLO8, but got no cards at all in the other 2. I went out half-way through level 5 in the £1000gtd winning a total of 1 hand for 90 chips. Didn't bother to rebuy. One of these days.
Balance today: -£4.70 Final September balance: +£64.17
Some stats:
PLO
MTT: Played 50, cashed 20, profit £94.82, ROI 41% STT: 1, 0, -£1.05, -100% Freerolls: +£9.60
The most puzzling number is the PLO8 result. Last month I made almost £85 with an ROI of 70% and this month I'm losing pretty big. For now I'll blame it on variance and assume my true skill is somewhere in the middle.
Overall I'm happy I had a winning month (3 for 3 on SkyPoker, wiiiiiii). I'm happy with my cash rate, but too often I just min-cash. If I can turn some of those 2nd and 3rd finishes into victories I will be in great shape. I play for fun and not to make money, but winning is half the fun.
up 1st week by £70 then down £60 next 2 weeks now back up £68.98 yoyo month
Last MTT of the month- sitting 11/17 MTT - raise pre IP get one caller - get all chips in on 8610 flop w/JJ - get called by AK - K on turn Gotta stop playing these donkathons
Played a few different cash games during the day + the main and mini bounty hunters tonight . Keep getting disconnected on site tonight so finished playing for night now. Cash +£44.12 Mtt -£36.30 September total =+£792.46 Jenny.x. Posted by jenny_IYY
Well the month has came to a end and i hope this thread helped keep you all focused and ready to face october
I myself havnt played alot this month and have prob played more today than any other day this month.
Some really sick beats on £100nl today inc at least 3 where i lost to runner runner in £200+ pots so at the end of the day im happy only losing £78.21 on it.
September final score = +£714.25 + about 3k c4p
Its been a pleasure doing this and wish you all the very best of luck for october
Well its quite early in the morning and im going to post my profit for this month on sky.
I'm not going to give a breakdown weekly cos im tired and can't be asked to work it out but i came second in bounty hunter monday night for £900 ish and i just won the friday rebuy for £1682 along with £180 profit from the £1k gtd omaha.
In cash games i played NLHE50 this month breaking even in that maybe a loss of 50 im not sure.
so lets say £2500ish having lost some mtt's along the course of the month.
I did win £1,500 on another network this month nt sure if it counts in this challenge but thought id add it anyway.
Very pleased with my performance and play, definitely my best month in poker. Been taking the game seriously for around 18 months.
Finished about 1.6k in the hole, plus after dropping the normal DYM grind I miss 10k CFP for the first time since they started the Priority Club. All the negative was created by MTT entries as I didn't make a significant tournament cash all month. Pretty normal, always been a streaky MTT player and this is the down bit.
plus after dropping the normal DYM grind I miss 10k CFP for the first time since they started the Priority Club
as your a consistant high volume player, drop them an email explaining why you missed the points and they should let you keep your status for the next month.
fwiw my figure is around 2k£ up on Sky. Plus 1£k bonus and 1k£ TSP Live bonus too.
Won around 1.4k£ at live cash this month but dropped around 1£k on other sites on MTT entries.
still very happy with my September and hope that October can be more of the same.
Glad to see the back of September. Finished about 1.6k in the hole, plus after dropping the normal DYM grind I miss 10k CFP for the first time since they started the Priority Club. Shouldn't that actually be £350 + 25% (Priority) aka £437.50?
Stunning results, is this an average month for you?

Hi mate.
As it happens i do look a bit like my avatar pic well at least ive got a shaven head in any case lol
Im no spring chicken mate, at 42 years old ive done a fair bit of stuff so far in my life and among those things ive done was owning 3 betting shops for a number of years. Although i dont broadcast my personal stuff on here i will this once to explain where i might have attained £25k.
I also started playing poker at the 500nl level (bad idea) on another site and like all or most of the players new to the game i too thought i had it sussed lol , , , , , , , then about 25k later realized i didnt
As far as not giving a sh..... about cash goes you couldnt be more wrong and if my post came across that way it wasnt meant too but to play this game correct i think you have to have a certain disregard for money at the same time as watching what your doing with it .
I love playing poker and above all love winning even on the days its only a few quid.
If im gonna bother to play the game i might aswell play to win.
Will be joining the new october profit thread and hopefully cya there mate
