Well, here's a collector's item for you. With Ian Fraser otherwise detained at the WCOOP head up tournament, I've been brought in at late notice.

Weirdly though, they've made James the analyst. Surely some mistake..? ;-)

No issues with our other expert though- it's British poker superstar Julian Thew!

Don't waste the opportunity to pick this man's brains tonight- he here's for the whole show and you can post your questions to him on this very thread.

The main events tonight are the 5k £110 buy-in Sky Roller and the £12k Bounty Hunter with a £33 buy-in. Both tournies start at 8 as well as our live coverage. We then simulcast on SKy Sports 3 from 10pm.

In other news tonight- it's a world exclusive! Between 8 and 10 we will premiere the dates and locations for the Sky Poker Tour 2011-2012!

And expect some big changes!!!
We'll be talking to Tikay on the blower about it too.

All will be revealed tonight.

And of course this year's SPT Grand Final takes place this weekend in Nottingham.
So, tonight it's all about...

THE SPT

Tips? Advice? If you'd like to give it or indeed ask it of James and Julian then please post away.
Who do you think out of our onscreen team wil last longest in the tourney? Who will be first out? Everyone's playing except Sarah, James and Ed- so give us your thoughts.

And, as if all that wasn't enough, we've got a Saturday night Super Bounty Hunter seat to give away to whoever can stump James and I on films when we play...

3 degrees of seperation.

Name 2 movies or movie stars on this thread- and, without googling, James and I will attempt to connect them in less than 3 steps. Any on which we both fail go into the hat for the draw.

Packed show! See you at 8!

Cheers guys- you don't have to think of a connection yourself. There may not even be one! Just give us two well-known movis or movie stars. Don't nmake them obscure, it'll be hard enough as it is with very famous names/titles trying to think of an answer whilst doing a live poker show!

eg. Keanu Reeves and Robert de Niro

    or

    Pretty Woman and Batman Begins

    etc etc etc!

Time for a rethink after your disclaimer Mr. Orford.
I had originally planned Leni Riefenstahls infamous 1934 propaganda classic Triumph des Willens ( Triumph of the Will ) and On the Buses the movie.
I imagined that would offer a decent and fair challenge to  the celluloid cerebral titan that is HARTIGAN.
Oh well back to the drawing board.

Looking forward to tonights show, I do like a bit of Thewy... Seen as it's a very popular question on the forums (comes up probably once a week), it would be intereting to get Julian's thoughts on Bounty Hunters and how (if at all) he thinks you should make changes to your normal MTT game... I.E. late on in the tourney if you're 10-15BBs deep, altering your shoving range because you'll probably be getting called light?

    My two films are...

    The Last Samurai

    AND

Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.

    Good Luck Chaps!

Two film stars for you.  Steve Coogan and Charlie Chaplin :).

I would love some advice from Mr Thew about playing the SPT final as it will not only be my first SPT event but my first live torney.

In the last longer between the talent, and Orford, I take Tikay.  Only because he will only play suited aces until he is down to ten bb's then shove once a round to pick up the blinds to keep himself in.

Have a great show and see you in Nottingham

    My connect two would be

    With nail and I
    and
    Quadrophenia

I have no doubt Mr H will connect them faster than it takes him to make a strait on the baize!

Good luck in the SPT Richard!
How motivated are you to do well? have you any side bets with Tikay Carlo and Ian?
Can you beat one handed press ups for Carlo's forfeit this time?

    Have a great show!
