Well, as much as I really really didn't want to leave DTD and the SPTfinal, as I had the best time, I am glad to be holding the fort tonight with Ed and bringing you action from the Primo and Sunday Roller.
Also we will be keeping you up to date with the SPTfinal happening today, I am going to have a competition for you giving you the chance to win a Sat night Bounty Hunter entry, and an educational topic, for you to be the analyst!!
So heaps going on tonight, come join us if you can, and to those of you who I met and those who I didn;t get the chance to meet fri and sat, thank you for making my first spt so much fun, I had the best time
Will see you all soon!!
Educate us:
If you are card dead for the first 4 levels or so of a tourno, how many hands do you need to play per hour roughly, and what hands start looking pretty to you. How tight can you go before you have to make some moves once the antes start........(not based on my experience yesterday at all, whatsoever!!)Still lasted longer than Orford and Tikay though!!
If this makes no sense, I will re word it with the help of Ed later!!

Hi Anna & Ed (and welcome back Ed....gr8 to know you're back in the fold so to speak),......can we have a few details of the structure of the game etc. ie; is it a deepstack with 10-15 min blinds and 5k chipstack......or a velocity type game......as I think you will get more precise answers if we know the type of tournie ....tx and hope the show goes well for you both......tc.....billy
Congratulations Anna on what sounded like a very good debut performance from what I've heard. Please give more details about structure so we can give a better answer to your question.
If it's a deepstack, then you can pretty much get away with being card dead for the first 4 levels anyway. Alot of people play very very few hands in these early levels.
thanks for coming
what a pleasure to meet you this weekend, unfortunately i busted out early on day 2 before the cash.
the first 4 levels are a tourney are not that important to worry about card-dead imo, you cant win the tournament in levels 1-4 but can certainly lose it. depending on your reads, you should be able to pick spots to 3-bet pre flop and re-raise on the flop.
hope you enjoyed your first jagerbomb
young-gun says your the most gorgeous girl he's seen
I was flicking through Sky's channels the other night, and, well, I came across a channel, and saw a very gorgeous looking young lady introducing, I think it was the European Blackjack finals, now, what was her name..., oh yes, her first name was Anna
Hmm, being card dead, imo, position is so important at times like these, and your table image also, makes it far more likely you can get a bluff or two through to keep paying the rent until, and if, your cards pick up, if not, you have to widen your card range, normally, I would go as low as 5, 6 or maybe 7BB,s before I feel the need to push with connector or picture cards, or even shove blind.
Hard question to give 1 specific answer. Depends on other ppls stacks, position and table dynaimcs. If you have played 4 levels on the same table you should be getting some reads . Use these reads to make your decision and as long as you have no regrets if you do lose you,ll do ok
Have a good show guys
Educate us answer: Whatever I said to you 15 minutes before the SPT Final started.
Good luck on staying awake for the whole show!
ok so I am basing this on the SPTfinal...which is a deepstack tournament......
Also for those of you who can , let us know you experiences of DTD and the SPTfinal this weekend..
