In Response to Re: NOW YOUR TAKING PIDDLE, : Whilst I agree with this in instances where it is a major site issue, effecting a large number of players, there have been many times when I've had problems with my machine, or something on my computer making sky poker either run slowly, or not run at all. The geeksquad of Machka, acidman, noseybonk, scouse red and pokertrev, have all responded to a forum post of mine within 10/15 mins and improved/fixed the issue without any need for me to go through customer care etc. Often it's as simple as a firewall, adobe update, re-install the site, change internet settings bla bla bla, all the stuff I would never know about myself, that would appear blatantly obvious to semi-competent computer brains! Maybe an "ask the geeksquad" thread somewhere, theres normally 1 of those 5 online to help within a few mins. Tbf they do respond to forum posts anyway tho. (if they see them) It's always worth asking the geeksquad, especially if everyone else seems to be running fine.

Agree entirely, JJ, but the OP & Thread was specifically aimed at Sky Poker staff. If help from a Community Member was what was required, from one of the uber-helpful "geek-squad", I doubt that such rudeness & language would have been used, or helpful.

hi JJ it's never a mistake installing an update.....as these provide "fixes" for known issues, however, it may be worth noting that in some cases the original version can still stat in the registry on your pc / laptop, and this is where the issues can arise. If your still getting problems m8 PM me.

As Tikay has pointed out the Tech Queries section in the community is just that ....part of the community and is looked at on the whole by other forum users who will give advice if they can help, Customer Care is there for you to contact should there be a problem as there has been over the last few days.

BUT...... if no-one contacts customer care then simply they will not be aware of it, and therefore cannot help. Also once Sky Poker are aware of it, if they tell you everything at their end is fine believe me it must be, why as a business, would they run the risk of upsetting customers for no reason. Just in case anyone thinks I'm sticking up for sky with a hidden agenda....your right I am, and that's because from a selfish point of view as a Mod, if everything is done correctly in the first place, everything runs sooooooooo much more smoothly

    "Geek-squad" eh!

Sporny's wrong - the Technical Queries section does get read. I've always been happy to help out where I can, providing the requests are polite.

n Response to Re: NOW YOUR TAKING PIDDLE, NOW FFF-IN SORT IT:
If you have a problem such as this, & want it solved, there is little point in Posting it on the Community, that is not what it is here for, & almost never speeds resolution. Customer Care have not, do not, & never will, monitor the Community for Customer Complaints, the system does not work that way. as they have far faster & more time-effective routes to problem resolution. Contacting Customer Care, with a clear & concise explanation of the problem is far more effective. I would also strongly advise against using "FFF-IN" style comments or "SORT IT OUT SKY" when speaking with CC, too, it does nothing to help, quite the opposite, if you think about the psychology of people skills. See "Chat live", "e-mail us", or "call us" on this page.....   http://help.skybet.com/display/4/kb/optional/index.aspx?tab=opt1&opt=1&c=12&cpc=ElvAC635AWqfXv2uVcmrS3B2Q&cid=5&r=0.3548618 Sky Poker try VERY hard to continually improve the software, & Customer Experience, & regret any problems that inevitably arise from time to time. Dealing with them in a rational & logical manner gets them sorted fastest, always. Thank you.

Dare ya to go into A51 n say that!!!!! ;)

Yeh +1 to the Geeksquad helping out, in my experience they are much more helpful than customer care. You can also swear at them, and express your hatred of all things technological.

If you post in GPC, and it's left for 15 minutes max, you will almost always get the attention of a Geeksquadder, then it can be transferred over to TQ, and you can go from there.

    15 mins canny hurt owt.

I always play good cop/ bad cop when making any kind of complaint, I start out as polite and calm as i can possibly be and if that fails then rant as you have nothing to lose and they don't like people making a scene lol. In my experiences this has worked very well : )
