We're gonna keep it to NLHE because that's the game most people feel most comfortable with. Low stakes so that it suits everyone's bankroll. Worst case scenario is you get beat 2-0 in the first match and lose £2.10, so if people can't afford to lose £2.10 they shouldnt join lol.

And it'll be turbo games, not hyper ones cos it'll become a crapshoot and not standards because I've been advised it'll take a lifetime.

I ran a 16 man ko tournie for team 51 (well whoever was in the fb group)

    we're still on the QF

realistically its going to be difficult for 2 ppl to be on at the same time to play their game, so u cud be waiting a couple of days for sum players to actually play.

then how do u get 2 ppl in the same game without everyone else jumping in???
in our tourny we quicky posted link too lobby on fb even then we had random ppl joining.

gl tho and i'll be interested so pop me in :)

I think the championship should be played at a weekend. Evening probably.

The date will be decided by us and I suggest that a PM should be sent to everyone.

Yeah I have thought about these difficulties, but there's no way round it really untiil Sky do something along the lines of allowing people to create tables and put a password on them so you can do SnGs with friends etc which I have suggested in the past. But yeah I'm sure we'll get round it the best we can.

I think if we have say 16 matches, we should be able to do say 4 a night, so the numbers aren't too high and there's opportunity for a bit of railing and what not, probably played between the hours of 6pm - midnight but whatever suits for the players. Hope it goes well anyway.

    I'll stick you in.

There's no way we'll be able to fit everygame in on 1 night.

If there's 64 people, thats 32 matches, each best of 3, so potentially 96 HU games, just for round 1. Plus the more it is done at peak time, the more likely random people will jump into the tables.

Plus if we did it all in one night that doesnt allow me to keep track of everything, give updates, annouce fixtures for next round, maybe do a pretty looking knockout table etc lol.

I agree its been a bit of pain with 16 ppl, let alone 32,64 or 100+, its going to be hard for ppl to join correct game, u hav to go into lobby to see who's sitting. or type ur opponents name in find a player. but how are 2 opponents going to discuss when they can play. ppl arent going to add opponents on msn/fb willy nilly.

Sky shud sort something out like this tho it wud be as tikay says EPIC

You are correct about the bunch of matches that have to be played.Forgot about this. :P

It should be done in a course of a week probably. A round each night or a round between two days? What do you think?

Well by keeping it to say 4 matches per night, that limits the level of activity so people could use this thread as a base (i.e. posting a link to the table they have sat at) or PM each other links on Sky (as yes I know people wouldn't add people on fb/msn willy nilly)

Also, as most people have fairly standardised working hours (or don't work), it should be pretty likely that they'll be able to find a spare 1 hour slot for this at some point between say 6pm and midnight just 1 day out of the week, doesnt matter when they do it.

But yeah, I definitely take on board your points and it may very well be tricky, but we can do our best. And maybe once Sky see the level of interest it will encourage them to do something bigger.

Yeah definitely. I think round 1 might have to be split over a few days because of the number of matches involved but as the number of players goes down we can do 1 round per night.

I'm in. The best way to organise it as far as I can see is once you know who you have drawn is to pm them on here to arrange a specific time. Or on FB. Or on twitter. Or on skype. Or on.......

    Sky Poker's forum? justa thought.

I'm the best HU player on this site. I'm in like Quinn.

Don't draw me against Nutter though, he sucks out on me so often it beggars belief.

I think that should be our way. I think we should give a deadline to each match in order to decide when they are going to play.

And if Sky won't help us with tables and organising the tournament, a good solution is the player who is drawn first at each match(consider him/her the home player) should sit in a table and the other player(Away) should find him using "find a player" and sit in the same table.

    What do you think?
