To be honest, (not to rain on your parade) but I used to watch Late Night Poker about 10+ years ago when he was on it and I really liked it, but since becoming an adult I've seen him again and I dunno if he's changed or my views have changed but I think he's a complete and utter doorknob!

Some people don't like Hellmuth but I find it hard to believe anyone could think Hellmuth is a bigger bosom than Devilfish.

Devilfish, good for the game,  helmuth v v good for the game,  I quiet like helmuth as he does get excited but all in all he is a decent bloke as iv pointed out before he has staked mickramoth several times wen he has been rooked,   Takes a kind heart to do that me thinks.

I've never liked him to be honest, partly because I'm 18 and he's mostly before my time, but he also just doesn't seem like a nice guy really... oh and I can hardly understand anything he says!

It was me who made the comment about Devilfish saying something pretty offensive.

Was at the UKIPT and he asked someone who was sitting across the table... "Mate, you do you know any good clubs round here? You know ones without any Indians..."

I am definitely not easily offended but this was pretty ridiculous and felt like I needed to make it known at the time. Was also after I just took a massive pot off him so felt like it was aimed at me somehow.

Funny enough I dropped him an email 2 weeks ago as he is bringing a film out about his life.

Dave is great but lets just say he is a risk on live TV. If we had a delay and a beep machine I wouldnt be so worried!

he is a great character bit dodgy in his early days with prison etc , but im assured he is really a nice bloke with a heart of gold , he does snap at bad beats but im sure he would be great entertainment for analisis with tikay the legend on the mastercash programe , would be very pleased if sky can entice him onto any format of the shows , thanks in advance , and happy xmas to all the staff at skypoker

I was pretty indifferent to devlifish before I heard about this. The guy clearly believes his own hype and should not be allowed anywhere near 865. As for helmuth I always thought he was a prize wally but you just have to laff at his rants.

Frankly, making 1 racist remark completely makes any nice thing he has done invalid as evidence of him 'being a nice bloke'... simple as that.

Two books about him and now a film.  He's Poker's Katie Price.

FWIW I don't think he's good for a live show, only my opinion but the the risks far outweigh the benefits.  Anyway he has live TV form as it were (I'm referencing a live tourney in Monte Carlo quite a few years ago, plenty of colourful language and a nice Hulk Hogan style reveal of his own website which did annoy the sponsors of said show, think they're not in business anymore though).

He's decent for an interview piece just because of his history in the game in the UK and his popular presence in Europe.  However after the event Sim detailed I personally couldn't have less interest about what he's got to say.

People go on about his Twitter account, I can't remember TBH if I still follow him but it's basically a poor man's 'Stuff My Dad Says.'
