As a few may know i'm currently a first year maths student at Manchester university, i've being playing on the site since November '11(ish). Being playing poker for little over 6 months (since i turned 18), i have become addicted, recording all poker on tv, reading forums, poker books etc... Recently i've been playing profitably making a nice little bankroll, then cashing out, then depositing again. Now i'm looking for a little a bit of encouragement from others and myself to commit to solid hours of grinding in order to maximise my monthly earnings and build a decent bankroll. My ambition is one day to be rolled to be playing the biggest games on this website.
My starting bankroll is £89.21. I will be playing the following games (recording progress as i go):
- NL4 cash. (full buy-ins)
- £2.25 DYM's (a view to £3.30s soon)
- 7.15pm £100 guaranteed deepstack (daily if possible)
- Monday DTD (weekly if possible)
- £1.05 turbo headsup (occasionally)
i will look to report on progress after every session of poker, possibly every day of poker, posting hands and asking for feedback etc. As of yet, i have no 'target' bankroll to achieve by a set time, i just want to try and play my best poker and commit to volume and hope the profits look after themselves.
Finally, i am willing to give to charity (not sure which yet) 5% of my monthly profits for the foreseeable future out of my own money not my bankroll. I will look to achieve a figure of £2.50 a month in donation (so £50 profit a month). To get the ball rolling, i would like to take advice on my selection of games. If anyone has any suggestions or questions don't be afraid to.
My 'challenge' and journey begins as of now. Good luck everyone.

Is playing the survivor series (£1 buyin) a worthwhile venture, in hopes of cashing big?
Anyway, good luck with your challenge, I look foward to following your progress.
Thanks everyone for the input and the good luck messages. I will be on the tables from 5pm after ive done some uni work.
In response to Dudeskin, that was my thinking initially. £2.25DYM = 12.5% rake. £3.30DYM = 10% rake, which then seems to be the set percentage rake for even the high stakes £55DYM's. So i'll probably follow this advice as it means winning 55% of games. Then if i go below £100 i will stop playing DYM's till i bakc safe to play them.
A question on the £2.20 DYM's i have played these a few times over the last few weeks, cashed in them atleast half the time, but am i not under-rolled to play a £2 buy-in tournament?
i will list some interesting hands for debate (biggest winners/losers mainly) after this post
Table 1) Early on ended up topping up for £0.92 but then ended 50 minutes later running my stack upto £12, after a late setback i eneded with £10.66. Profit of +£5.74.
Table 2) lost £0.47 over the course of the 50 minute session, no top-ups used here, mainly being card dead and seeing my stack fall through the blinds. Profit of -£0.47.
Table 3) Topped up early by the amount of £1.92, where i called an open shove from UTG with JJ, and lost to Q9o, i will be posting this hand, so i would like feedback on this please. Profit of -£2.31.
Overall profit of +£2.96 for this session. (£92.17 bankroll. 185 C4P)
NL4 Minutes played:155Hours played:2.58Profit:£2.96Profit/hour:£1.15BB/hour:28.65
1) Should i have bet the flop commiting myself tothe shove?
About your question on under rolled for multis, yeah your underrolled but it dosnt mean you cant take a few shots
Thank you Young gun, glad you enjoy my posts. hope to see you on the tables sometime. Good luck.
