skyscraper is used to download HH's and you can import them into HEM after converting them into a different written format, in order for someone to track their results.
skyscraper on its own DOES NOT make a HUD work.
no one has tried to decieve people with regards to skyscraper: HEM DOES NOT support sky poker.
skyscraper was hosted on a public website with no password protection, it was not hidden from people.
if someone looked hard enough they could find it on their own. the person who created it was very specific that it would be an open project and free to use for anyone.
the earliest i have heard about a HUD was yesterday, by glifulose who apaprently made one 4-5days ago, he used to be a programmer/coder i believe.
*edit* the hh's that you can download are solely ones that you have been dealt holecards in that are accessible through your sky poker account under the Hand History section

it seems, it would take so little to convert real time hand historys in to a real time heads up display

MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS BEFORE ADDING ANY MORE POSTS

i only use HEM1 and that does not detect Sky, but apparently with HEM2 it could recognise that a poker client was running but now which poker client it was. SS was NEVER taken past the stage of d/ling hh's soyou can import them into poker databases by the people who created it.
personally i think HUDs will ruin skypoker and i think its so incredibly dumb.narrowminded of people to post screenshots/videos of it.
In Response to Re: wheres it gone!! : The process for obtaining stats on other players which allow you to potentially gain an edge is irrelevant, its the principle. It's no different to insider dealing imo. Posted by ACEGOONER
I'm just saying, read this so you are in complete understanding what the software does, just so everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet

Understood, and in my research this morning that was the conclusion I came to.
I'm surprised this (a workaround to convert sky hands to a standard text format to enable hud use) hasn't happened before, and if it's not actually happening now it probably will sooner or later. With traffic growing and the games are getting bigger it's only a matter of time.
Using HEM isn't cheating imo, you only have data from hands you've played, in theory you could work out all the stats yourself using pen and paper.
I do agree that a hud gives an advantge, particularly in cash games. I'm happy with Sky's current hud free games, but if they come in I won't lose any sleep over it.

Not everyone will be quite as proactive as yourself, and take at face value peoples comments in this thread that have no substantiated evidence whatsoever. Until everyone is aware of how and why it works, I dont believe the ethics of the software should be discussed in this thread.
exactly gary i was just about to say that you could do it manually, but it would be massively impractical time wise. SS is just incredibly more efficient that a human at doing it and since people are playing tens of thousands of hands a month it makes alot of sense to get a script to do it.
FWIW i am 100% sure that other regs past/present on sky have done something similar, maybe slightly different method or using different database software to this but have kept it to themselves
You have always been able to download your OWN HH's from Sky Poker. Nothing has changed. What people do with those HH's, as to making them easier to read, or collating them, or whatever, has always been the perogative of the player, Sky Poker have no control over that.
Players can ONLY download their OWN HH's, no matter what software they apply to it.
If someone has spent time creating some sort of HUD, it was done without the approval or knowledge of Sky Poker, & in fact, I doubt Sky Poker have any power to do anything about it.
However, A HUD does not, it seems, a winning player make.....

Seems like a lot of fuss to know lol_fold has a high VPIP
In Response to Re: wheres it gone!! : Learning how to use these HUDS is a job in itself, let alone trying to learn how to play poker at the same time Posted by rancid
If you were able to build one yourself, you'd think you'd be able to maximise its usefulness.

i now understand this...
some time ago a thread was started on skypoker forum seeking to become the longest thread in the world. is this a new attempt?

But I though HEM does not work inconjunction with sky poker tables
So it does work with sky poker but it just does not download the HH, which makes it useless.
Now there is a way of dl HH from sky poker, we can use HEM2
But WARNING! THIS IS 3RD PARTY SOFTWARE "SKYSCRAPER"
If it asks for your log in to sky poker, be very careful TBFH
Not scaremongering, it's very possible they can rob your log ins
