Sky Pokers terrible reward system.

Sky pokers reward system is really poor and needs to be improved.

I was watching skytv while playing yesterday and they kept going on and on about this points for cash system. Problem is this system is worth very little, only comes at around 7 percent rakeback(correct me if im wrong).
When compared to other sites, many of which offer up to 60 percent rakeback, its laughable.

Their "jackpot" is a joke. You have to win two specific tourneys on the same night, I think Id rather go and do the lotto.

On top of this, I have only got one deposit bonus ever. They dont seem to give any bonus every now and again, like the competition.
I recently got about a hundred emails and texts spammed to me by sky poker about a promotion. They said they would give me a bonus of between 2 and 100 pounds if I deposited. I ignored this spam for months, finally gave in and decided to take them up on offer. Do you you know what bonus I got, 2 pounds. Insulting way to trick people back to the site in my eyes.

Scotty, instead of posting a pointless reply, tell me why Im wrong, give me proof and tell me what percent it does equate to.....

    Otherwise, why bother posting.

The LOWEST rakeback bonus is £4 for 500 points which could be £50 of rake in SnGs, MTTs, that is 8%

However it goes up as high as 65%

The system is VERY top heavy but if we do ever get there I don't think we'll complain!!

Basically the more you rake the greater the % rakeback you get.

Sky's reward system is tailored to its customers imo and perfectly acceptable to a recreational player like me.

There are also a number of professionals on Sky who obviously like it, or they wouldnt play here.

It's not going to please everybody, obviously, but like you say there are plenty of other sites out there and plenty of rakeback options.

But to say sky's system is terrible is not true, as there are clearly 1000s of happy customers here!!!

Also try telling Dylan and Alan that the jackpot is a joke! Also Jibbz who got 1k for the conciliation Jackpot!

I think your OP comes across as bitter and unconstructive but anyway good luck in finding a suitable site. Sky do not trick anybody, their promotions are about the clearest out there imo. If you dont read the t's and c's before accepting the promotion thats your fault, not Skys!

Ok, let's address this in turn shall we.

The Cash for Points system is scaled.  The more you put in the greater percentage you get out of it.  I did run the numbers in another thread and I may dig that out for you if I take a grind break.  You reference other places offering 60% RB.  These places are near extinct.  If you're referencing the RB equivalent at the Biggest site going today you'll notice you only get that kind of level if you've progressed up their loyalty scheme, again, you get out what you put in, like C4P.

The jackpot is a great promotion.  You are entitled to your opinion but it's meant to be difficult to win, that's why it's a jackpot.  And it can be won, it has been.  Twice.

If you are getting excessive emails from SkyPoker I would suggest changing your settings and contacting Customer Care.

On your last point, I'm sorry I'm not an expert on depositor bonuses.  But you never know when a site will introduce these again I guess.

can't just expect money for free anymore...those days look to be long gone now (though they were good while they lasted)

if you look around carefully you will even notice that the biggest sites going have lowered their rake recently and it makes good business sense to reward your best customers rather than your smaller customers...i'm sure its nothing personal

    Please take note

I think on the C4P thing i think it varies from level to level.

E.g. i get 1 point er 10 hands at NL4 and thats at 7.5% rake

If i where to play NL400 id get 15 (more during happy hours) points per 10 hands with a rake of <1%

I know that <1% is equivelent to a higher value btw, so not to worry about that and i understand why this comes about. However that says to me alone higer you play the better rake back deal you get.

Now im not gonna moan about t because sky do a decent amount for my level of players too.

Oh god cheers for the update poker fail btw. :)

Money for free, not really your just getting a % of what you pay back. Its like buying a car for £10k and selling it on for a sdmaller % a month later.

There is still value in allowing respected players to correct misconceptions about the site, as is shown here.

Looks like every issue has been addressed apart from promotional bonuses for redepositing. I have played on various sites and some I have chosen not to continue with for different reasons.

But all of those have contacted me offering bonuses if I redeposit, and I am sure Sky is exactly the same. You say that the promotion offered bonuses of £2 -£100 but you only received the minimum. These bonuses are normally graduated, the amount given decided by the volume of poker played in a specified period.

So if you only make a minimum deposit, and lose it quickly, you only qualify for the minimum bonus. But if you can build your deposit to a level where you can play more you will receive more bonus.

Nobody forces you to take up these offers, but if you do you should read the T+Cs before criticising.

    This is a big problem.
Sky poker rewarding the player whos on the site day and night, but giving  7% to the low stakes player or someone whos only only 2 nights a week.

Everyone should get the same rakeback as far as Im concerned, why should one person pay more then another.
But if you post these numbers I would find them interesting.

Its called economies of scale. Most loyalty schemes offer an incentive to play more, sky is no exception. Play low stakes on stars you wont get a lot more. We live in a free market economy, if you dont like cash for points play elsewhere. The majority of sky players are happy with the scheme thats one reason the site is growing,
