A play my hand request or if I have made the situation clear enough any feedback on this forum would be very welcome.
I am relatively new to poker with less than a year’s experience. If you play regularly enough, watch and learn, you can easily identify the games you can compete in and not drain your funds. My learning curve takes me to £2.30 and £5.75 Bounty Hunters and few satellites to Sky’s bigger tournaments.
Mainly, I play £3.30 and £5.50 Double Your Money Sit and Go’s. The DYM suits my evasive style especially when the blinds are small. I know from watching the TV channel that many Sky analysts don’t play DYM’s. The nearest thing to their play maybe a satellite for a bigger tournament. They are very similar although the percentage risks compared to the rewards is greater in DYM’s.
I played in one such on 16 June. I did mistakenly click a £55.00 instead of a £5.50 but I had no idea until I looked at my account afterwards. Therefore, the big buy in didn’t affect my play at all. It only taught me to be more careful in future.
The hand that I keep playing over in my mind was when the blinds had moved up to 100/200.
Hand ID: 382892623 - 2011-06-17 02:06:07
As I recall it I have a manageable stack of 1,700 to 1,900. With only 12,000 chips in play and nobody that deep, there’s very little scope for play post flop (I think). I wake up with JJ’s in the big blind. There’s a caller from a player who hasn’t played that many hands (about 1,450 chips). I am thinking a low pocket pair, a fair Ace or picture cards. The small blind (2,000+ chips?) has already played aggressively many hands pre flop even at the low levels. His stack has yo-yoed to put it mildly. He raises to 700. I feel I will leave myself with a tough decision post flop if I just call and that is if the limper calls or even folds behind me. If I raise all in, I am far from confident the players who would act after my raise would fold. The limper may fold but not if he is trapping with a premium hand. From what I saw earlier, the big raiser is not for folding once he’s put that much in the pot.
If it goes 3 ways and I am all in, I am unlikely to be favourite to win the pot. However, if successful I am cashing. A tough decision for me.
If the limper folds, I may be 60/40 favourite even if he’s holding is 2 high cards. He may have the goods I am not even favourite. Even if he hasn’t got the goods, do I want to put my survival on the line under those circumstances.
I folded pre flop.
Should I have – called, re-raised all in or folded?
For the record, the other 2 went all in. The limper showed 55 and the aggressor KQ. The flop came 6-8-8 followed by a Q and then a J. The fact that I would have housed up is not really the issue. It’s the decision pre flop that I want to learn from.
I raise preflop and get called , the flop comes 3 bricks as does the turn and river but bluff on all 3 streets and villian eventually folds on river. Id like this hand to be analysed as im a fairly new player and would like to know if my bet sizing was correct and if this play is profitable over time. ty

Dont think you have done anything wrong in this hand, in dym's obviously the game is different but JJ is an over rated hand...with an all in situation you are still flipping at best which in a dym you dont really want to be doing. Calling is definatly an option, if your worried about being in a flip situation then can pass and find a better spot, i think passing here is the best option.
I was on the final table of the £500 guarentee Bounty hunter and chip leader...
I was on the button and was dealt aces... There was a raise so i decided to flat call enticing a squeeze from the small or big blinds, plus I knew if the blinds folded I had position and would defo get a C bet from the player RogueCell...
Anyway... a player calls from the blind... were 3 to the flop...
Board comes AJ5... Small blind checks and of course the initial raiser C bet... I smooth called... The small blind shoved ... The original raiser ALL in... I call... Cards on there back... AQ.. 55... of course the 5 hit on the river... lol
We dont see many hands like this so maybe a good one to show.... Thanks for allowing me to post this...
Hi my alias is 22bokke and i just want to know if i made the right call.In hindsight i should have folded in this d y m game played on28/06/11 @ 18.04.I did not get any cards during the game and when the pressure came on i got a pair of 9's and went with it even though there was a raise before me.Normally i would have folded but i reconed that Kimpet was under pressure aswell and tried a move. Please let me know if it was a poor call from me or if i was just unlucky as it is boddering me abit.
on the 28/06/11 i played a d y m @ 18.04.Did not get any hands during game and when the pressure came on i called a raise from Kimpet thinking that he might have a average hand as he was under a bit of pressure aswell and have made a few raises in the previous couple of hands,so i had him on pulling a bit of a move.In hindsight i made a poor call and normally i would just have folded. Please let me know if it was a silly call or if it was just one of those things as it have been playing a bit on my mind.
What else could i have done in this situation?? Personally i think nothing!
I am sick of donks and bingo players! Every player could be dealt just 1 card and me 3 and i still couldnt win a tournament, im sick of disgusting and insulting plays and people lucking out with rag hands.
Whats this world coming to! This won't even get the air time that it deserves.
I ask the guy that won the hand whay he was even in the hand in the first place and then called the all in when he was 3rd in the hand, his answer was that he hit top pair lol what a joke lol
Hi guys can you please look at this hand for me as i know i played awful from the flop. its from the £500 GTD 8 players left have just under average chips, got aces under the gun blinds were 400,800 so looking for action i put in a min raise got 1 caller from the big blind flop comes 5,10,J rainbow big blind leads for £2700 i know at this point i should have jammed but just called to see what the turn brings, a queen on the turn not a great card for me big blind jams there was to much in pot for me to fold i still had outs cards on there backs he shows king queen thought happy days until a queen pops out on the river nite nite do you think a jam on the flop he would have folded considering we had almost same stacks.

I just don't think Nosebleed plays anything except a big draw or a true monster (ie: flopped full house) this way.........and if he was on the draw and is bluffing on the end he hasn't picked a great spot as he really should think I have an overpair. Could he really have had 88, 89 or even 99 and flopped an absolute monster. Surely the board is too wet to just call twice if he "only" has trips. I'm still puzzled !!
