I use the download all the time. It runs faster and the windows are smaller so you can play more tables as they don't have the address bar at the top.

Usually use the download, but sometimes when playing an MTT use the browser version as I find it more stable, and I can close and open the tourney lobby as often as I like which I can't seem to do in the download - once I've opened it and closed it, i can't open it again.

Also when I'm at someone else's place and spend a half-hour or so online then I use the browser.

Hi Tikay, I use the browser.  Why?  Well it works ok and I'm one of those people who says "If it ain't broke why fix it?"  I was gonna download the browser a while back but there was a  thread referring to flash/adobe problems (cant rem the exact probs) so just thought why bother.
p.s. you said on the "ask TK" thread "glass half full"  I think you meant "glass half empty"? ;-)

Forum users are the probably the wrong people to ask. All the reg posters here will be fully up to speed with the advantages of the download and are much more likely to be using it than others. Players who just want to play poker and don't bother visiting the community, aren't on Facebook or Twitter, don't watch ch.865 are the much more likely to be browser users. A lot of inexperienced PC users are scared of installing stuff, that's not a problem if they just use the browser version.

FWIW I use the download 99% of the time. I only use the browser on those rare occasions where the download won't work and I don't have time for a restart.

Still using the browser old boy ;o))

Unless I hit a bad run, then I fire the DL up and swap over..

    Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

It was never broke for me so no point in changing.. plus it tilts me when I click on the forums and up pops a IE window (I use chrome btw..) Same for sports betting, watch 865 live etc..

Plus, the text is tooooo small on the DL.. Also, when I spill wine on my laptop (as is oft the case), I have to swap to a work puter.. I'm not allowed to DL 'gambling' programs on a work-box so the browser is just dandy tyvm... I could go on but I have class to attend!!

In Response to Re: Question for you. : What has that got to do with the price of Haddock?? If you are going to comment on a post, at least read it in full first! Where in MY post does it say I am NOT using the D/L version??

    sorry I expressed it wrong.

what I meant was that it is so quick and easy to install the download version then no one can really claim that they haven't tried it because they are waiting for the software upgrade...

I've always used the download. Probably because all the other sites i played on were download too. Force of habit and all that.

I always use the download now.

Apart from the odd "Network Error" from time to time I would'nt use anything else.

Would be nice if we were able to browse the forum within the client itself instead of having to open the browser at the same time, but we can't have everything in life that easy I suppose lol.

I love the DL Client and look forward to the new one.

I have no issue with the download or browser.

For the last few months I've mostly used the browser, mainly due to me not playing much and when I do decide to play I've flicked from the forum (in the browser) to the games and clicked register.

I even have the download installed and keep it updated!

So just me being lazy I guess, at the time I feel the urge to play.

i would love to use it as i like it all compact and seperate from my browser. But unfortunately the one thing that puts me off is it dosnt update as fast as online for me and also i cant you the scroll wheel on my mouse for it. I can on line and like that i can just turn it to go down the menus where as the downloadable version i have to point and click and pull on the scroll bar which to me is quite anoying when im doing other things.

Used browser since I started but recently tried downlaod to see what differences there were and I just find it much more slick and loads faster.

Also a point made earlier about lack of search bar is great so tables are smaller which I like.

Furthermore now I've started using the download I get the orange flashing reminders that it's my turn to act which never happened on the browser and makes life so much easier when multitabling + forum reading :)

It did originally but I think it caused more problems than it was worth.
