Thanks for putting me in to the Thews @ Ten Tikay. Sadly I just missed out on a cash, came 17th out of 87 with 10th place paying. Jammed KJ into AJ small blind v big blind.
Nothing more fun than donking off £100 on TV with 10 high, lol. Won it back a few hands later though Really enjoyed the show tonight. Posted by EvilPingu
Great show guys! Always love to hear Red&Neil's views/take on hands. Well done to TK for swerving some of Neils curve balls! Looking forward to the new improved cash game! ;-))
Any idea who won the comp for best email? Posted by shaun84
Nobody!
In my late rush to prep for the Thread & Show ( I had very short notice) I teased the free £52.50 VLV Quarter Final, but omitted to say what it would be awarded for. Whoops, & apologies all round. (cue "SORT IT OUT SKY").
I'll have a think & see how best, & to whom, it should be awarded.
I had intended to make a Post suggesting that the best response to the "Three by Three" Tips we gave on the Show would win it, & I said that several times on the Show. We never got a single response, though. Just shows how much people were listening to me.....
Leave it with me while I go scratch my head & find an acceptable answer.
Question for Neil - ps prefer the blue background I,ve asked before on facebook i think about getting staked . Pretty sure i showed you some results but i know ur probably sick of seeing them, but in an everchanging game what advice would you now give to someone like myself who plays low stakes cash and because of BRM rarely plays MTT,s anymore , but has had a good record in the past although at low stakes . I am playing in a few satelites , but if i don,t bink anything soon whats the best way a player can get stakes these days - ( Ps i no you run your own scheme on that other site, but apart from that ) Cheers MP Rory for the Masters - Tip for Neil - his price won,t get much bettre than now Posted by MP33
Morning!
Sorry, but I had to swerve this question last night.
Neil has made it clear repeatedly that he does not personally stake players any more, & I was a little worried that he may have a little rant if I raised the topic, hence I swerved it.
As to how to get staked, I have to say, that I don't think there is a staking programme that fits this particular bill. To be staked, a proven winning record needs to be demonstrated, & unless you can do that, you won't get staked I'm sorry to say.
I would add - this is my personal view, not that of Sky Poker - but I don't really think that staking for lower-stake MTT's is something that I would encourage. Play the game for fun, enjoy it, & try & make a few bob along the way. Being staked adds all kinds of un-necessary pressure which can only distract from your enjoyment of the game.
For balance, I would add I actually personally invest quite a lot of cash every week in buying Tourney action in players, but almost never in Online Tourneys, & only in "big buck" Live Tourneys. I really have a bit of a Victorian attitude towards playing poker "on tick", to be honest with you. When I "invest", I do so for my own pleasure & satisfaction, as I don't have time to play much poker these days, so I get my Live poker fun vicariously.
Any idea when last nights show will be shown as a repeat? Cuaght the last quarter of the poker school section and would like to see the whole lot. Cheers, Robin Posted by harding10
Good morning.
The Poker School 1 hour segment is next due to be tx'd as follows....
Tonight (Wednesday) 10pm
Thursday, 11am
Saturday 4pm
Well worth a watch, for the sheer excellence of analysis & advice from Neil Channing & Redmond Lee. We in Sky Poker are blessed to have 3 Live Shows per week where this sort of stuff is available for free - no other Online Poker cardroom does this, so far as I am aware.
The others 1 hour segments will be shown at various times & days in the coming week. You understand, I'm sure, that the whole idea of the new format is that it is constructed as 4 seperate Shows (8pm-midnight, the 7pm-8pm slot is not re-tx'd) so that they can be repeated as standalones.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe these Shows are also now finding their way onto Pokertube. Our first piece went up on PokerTube on Monday, & by last night, it had accumulated over 3,000 views - the 2nd highest in that 24 hour period.

Just for info there's a 'sticky' thread in the Sky Poker TV board which is regularly updated by Carmen. It contains all the upcoming broadcast info so is really useful.
I thought last night was brilliant. I always love seeing Neil on the show, I think he's not only a brilliant poker player, but also great at explaining things in a fashion that is easy on the ears.
On the topic of great guest analysts... is there any sign of Paul Jackson making another appearance?
Really enjoyed the show last night and just wanted to say thankyou to Neil for being such an excellent guest. A credit to the UK poker scene.
Also what about Tikay?! Brilliant job Sir. The man can do anything!
And of course thanks to all of you for your posts and contributions. Really fantastic when we have lots of questions and it makes the show. Very much appreciated!

Don't sell yourself short Reds. You were great too! Brilliant show last night, Tikay was great and Neil Channing is my favourite UK Poker Player. Keep up the good work mate. Your a great addition to the team and have really become one of the best analysts. Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham

Tikay accidentally said that you were a member of one of the teams, Team51. He then later clarified that you were of a Hitsquad persuation. Not everyone can be part of the best team, but at least for a few minutes you were one of us.lol. 51 FTW! Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham

Anna, bad back, pfft, I think she owes him a back rub* for stepping in with such short notice.
Last Sunday's and Tuesday's analysis of "why" to do things have been brilliant in my opinion.
