Another tiny cash in my third outing.

    £6 in the  £5.50 15 minute game at 8.40pm

    ROI? A laughable 9%!

Freechips take a brief lead, well played btw.

but surging into the current lead is Padzz77 with 460%

That's the new score to beat!

Lots of activity on tonight's challenge!

Looks like the football is finally over and the bad weather means everyone is staying indoors and playing poker!

Take a look at the first post of this whole thread, freechips1.

    It explains the whole formula.

it's actually less complicated than it first appears.

It's basically your profit divided by the buy-in, and then multiplied by 100 to give you a percentage.

how do work it out? ty

Take your total winnings, and subtract your buy-in (including the fee), to give you the profit.

Divide that profit by your buy-in (including the fee), to give you your ROI.

PS, oh, and as Rich says, multiply by 100.

Blimey, can't remember, Mike. The show you were watching last night was probably a repeat from several weeks ago.

I'm probably going to write a blog on timed tournies soon.

But tips off the top of my head? Treat the 30 min and 60 mins ones like DYMs- no need to go crazy in the opening 2 or 3 levels.

Then get busy when half the field has disappeared. Pick your spots and open shove with half-decent and above hands. Either you pick up blinds and slowly accumulate a stack to convert into cash, or someone calls you and you have a chance at a double-up.

Don't see too much point in aiming for a tiny profit, unless you're in the final couple of minutes and you decide it's better to get your money back to use in the next game, rather than gable when you're card dead.

If anyone else has any tips I'd love to hear them, and I will probably publish them in my next blog, coming over the next week or so- although I will credit whoever came up with the tip!

    Have got 3 tips Rich,

    1) Always have the lobby open & showing your chips stack value.

    2) Keep an eye on the blinds & play as if it 1 level higher because with 5 min blinds it soon will be

    3) Dont shove the last hand with 2nd pair the villain will always have you beat!!

    Urgh!

Out of the 60 minute game in record time. I normally last well over the halfway stage.

My premature exit may have something to do with me picking up pocket Aces, making a standard raise and getting called by Q8 who then flopped middle pair and called another hefty bet from me, only to turn two-pair.

    Cest la vie!

Now in the 10.35pm 15 minuter!

Thanks Mike, with your permission I might well use this as part of next blog.

Unlucky on tonight- I'm sure you'll win one day!

Finished the 15 minute game and cashed for about £4. Only trouble is it cost me £5.50 to enter. So that's a negative ROI but at least I got most my buy-in back, unlike a normal tournament where I would lose the lot if I didn't cash.

Final game for me at 11.40 tonight, followed by announcing the winner at midnight.

    Watch this space!

Well played poppy- but that's a titanic result from Arazi (daz).

    ROI of 695%!

That's the leader right now with a few minutes to go!

Good finish for me in the 11.40pm.

    Finished 2nd!

    RICHORFORD3662.502£18.31

    £18.31 off a £5.50 buy-in gives me a very decent ROI there of 233%

Right, I'll announce a winner in a few minutes once everyone's had time to post any last minute results!
