Hi all,

Psst! Wanna easy shot at landing a seat into a Thursday night main event?

Listen up!

All you've got to do is record the biggest profit in a single timed tournament between 7pm till midnight- on Wednesday 26th September.

That's it!

It's a really fun challenge and you can give it as many goes as you want.

The prize for the player who beats the rest on the night?

A free seat into Thursday night's 12K Sky Sports Bounty Hunter! (which we'll be covering on the live Sky Poker TV show)

Here's what you'll need to do-

As soon as you've cashed in a timed tourney- cut and paste proof on to this thread and then calculate your Return On Investment (ROI) below- like this:

£400 Gtd 30 mins

Buy-in: £5.50

Prize: £17.62

Profit= £12.12  (£17.62 - £5.50)

divided by the buy-in (£5.50)

= 2.20

 multiplied by 100 to give a percentage

= 220%

So, it doesn't matter how low the buy-in is, or how long the timed tournament goes on for, because only the ROI is important!

You can keep recording scores all night. I'll just take the single best individual result from all entries as the winner at midnight.

Last time         IDONKCALLU    took the honours with an ROI of 334%. 

NOW WE WIPE THE SLATE CLEAN AGAIN THIS WEEK. SO FROM 7PM THIS WEDNESDAY, THE FIRST PERSON TO POST AN ROI OF, SAY 1%, WOULD BE LEADING.

You should post even if it's only a small ROI because you never know how many people will enter and, as a result, if your lowly score might turn out to be the best one.

So, do you think you have what it takes to be the champion of timed tournaments?

Only one way to find out!

I'll be on the site from 7pm myself playing timed tourneys and Mastercash tables till midnight.

    Yes mate, you can play any timed tourney from 7pm till midnight and the buy-in can be as small as you like. Only the percentage profit matters.

    You can also enter as many times as you like giving you the best chance of having the highest score.

    If anyone can't work out their ROI on a tourney (see Opening Post) then just post the detailsof your cash and either myself or one of my excellent stats team will calculate it for you!

    Good luck! It's great fun and if you start  from 7 you can get into a really good slugging match with the rest of the community as the players keep posting better and better scores, pipping each other until we run out of time at midnight!

    Good luck chaps. I'll be playing the timed tourneys from 7pm.

    In the meantime, I'm hoping to fire my own personal account up for some Mastercash so I can get Carlo's thoughts on my poker in Analyse My Play this Sunday night.

    OK, we're off and running.

    Don't forget to post that ROI- right now, obviously the first person to post ANYTHING will be winning the free seat into the Bounty Hunter tomorrow.

    So it's worth posting an ROI of 0.00000001% for the simple reason that due to the weather there might not be anybody else tonight who gets into profit in a game and knows about this competition!

    I'm signed up to play the 7.25pm game.

    It's a £5.50 MTT with a deadline of 30 minutes and £400 GTD- there are currently 18 players in it and the lobby is here

    Was doing rather nicely too. Until THIS happened (prepare yourself for a brutal kick to the proverbials followed by a sharp intake of breath and an 'unlucky GG sir'...)

    Legendary play with the 99- you lulled me into shoving with my hand that was dominating you, knowing full well that your set was coming on the turn. ;-)

    Kind of funny that I am directly responsible for the current leader in my own competition.

    Still toying with my timed tourney strategy.

    So far, I've done best when I've played fairly ABC as it's really a matter of survival rather than accumulating chips. If you make the end of the game you're in profit no matter how small.

    That said, I just gave it a bit of a crazy BH-style all-in on the first hand double-up or die thing in the latest game.

    Alas, there was no doubling-up but there was plenty of dying. Back to the drawing board.

    Now in the £200 GTD 15 min game waiting to tee off at 8.40pm.

    ty - am sorry tho - was a very nasty beat

    Could of been bigger win but 4 hjands from the end had a shove into my KK from 94 of hearts for 3500 chips which hit 2 4's so what goes around comes around I suppose!

    Tank/folded AJs UTG on the last hand when I would've usually played it, didn't want to pay the big blind (which would've been, like, £1) and not see any more hands afterwards though.

    It's not that bad mate- the other week the winning score was over 1000%!

    Basically you need to finish in the top spots of a timed toruney to beat that- not necessarily win it. Very do-able.

    But another two and half hours to go.

    Plenty of time, folks!

    I'm hanging in the 60 minute £11 tounrey which kicked off at 8.55pm and is 35 mins through. I'm right up there, so this could be my first ROI post of the night having crashed out the others!
