Myself and 4 friends heading over for the National and we will also have On his own though now he too skinny @ 6/1. Must admit though your bet looking tasty and hope it makes you a nice few bob.
Colbert Station with macoy @ 14/1 looking like a nice e.w. also.
In the Irish national have a sneaky tenner on competitive edge. I have nice ew to have a great Aintree.
Anyway best of luck and roll on Sky poker tour Dublin

Hope 'On His Own' delivers for you joesman - have been reading this thread with interest and it would be some achievement for this to come off.

I will do my bit for you and promise NOT to back it, as horses with my money on rarely come home first! :)

Cheers Brrrrrrr. 1/2 mission accomplished if it gets to the starting line in one piece. Price is getting a bit silly now, esp' if the going keeps quickening. Would prefer soft going for it.

Only just seen this thread after a m8 told me about it.Wish i,d spotted it earlier and took your advice but  I did a similar thing a cpl of years ago for a Cheltenham race then it got pulled out . I was gutted but i didn,t  have anywhere near what you,ve got on.

Are you going to let it all ride or lay some off ? It would be one of the best bets i,ve ever seen if it comes in - GL

It's all riding MP33. A place gets me 6/7k ish. After plotting it for 11 months & 2 weeks, I'm not gonna hedge now. Live or die by the sword. Whatever happens its been a boat load of fun.

Glad I didnt do what you did with On His Own with my choice, Prince De Beucherne, mate . Just goes to show how dangerous Ante Post is.

Seriously hoping that this comes off for you and dare I say it , it is becoming more likely everyday that he will at least be placed.

Let your God go with you and that you wollow in money this weekend.

Just seen On His Own is 11/4!!!!!!!!!!! to start Favourite for the race will billybobhills....Thats a great bet, easily the most likely winner, by far the best jockey...The only thing that can stop this 11/4 getting landed is the housewifes of the country getting balls deep into McCoys mount..Ive took the 11/4 anyway, hopefully a winner before the race even starts

Got on at 25/1's around 6 month ago, this thread has been a great shout.

Keep hearing a lot of good vibes coming from the imperial commander camp, for me he's the biggest danger. By far the classiest horse in the race and if he really is back to his best will have a cracking chance.

Now Aintree's started I don't know how you are keeping calm, lol.

As it get's closer to the race I fancy his price might drift toward's 10/1 and if it does I will probably back him myself, but even if I don't I'll be cheering for mine, the wife's, the kid's and I reckon the biggest cheer will be for On His Own, how can it not be?

    Very best of luck Neil!!!

I think the bookies are expecting a wholesale gamble on Katie Walsh on the day of the race. I haven't checked the betting but I suspect she's the fav??

I agree with u Dart (what's your real name? Have u ever declared it? Lol)... I think it will end up nearer 10/1 myself and Seabass 7/8-1. And thanks for your support. I think the only person oblivious to my bet is my other half. She knows I've a long standing bet on a horse in The National, but has no idea whatsoever to the extent.

How do you want the race to run?

Do you want to be in front avoiding trouble or does the horse need to come from behind?

Can you watch the race live or will the stress be too much?

and finally how long will it take to visit all the bookies to collect your betting slips if it wins?

I'm guessing religion will receive a big boost from Sky Poker this week cos we're all praying you pull it off!!!

    Hi DUNMIDOSH

I'm easy either way riding wise. He was well behind early doors last year, but by the time he departed at the 22nd fence, he was just joining the leaders.

I'll be watching it live, ALONE at home. I'll cope with the stress ok, but I'm sure my adrenalin will be pumping as the tapes rise.

There will be no visiting of bookies. All bets were placed on line. Bet Victor got most of it, followed by Boylesports and Paddy Power. Skybet got none as they have been shortest price all year.

Finally, many thanks for your good wishes.

Don't really post as much as I should on the forum, only when I feel strongly about something, but have followed this from when you started backing it.
Gotta say that this sort of thread is the main reason I stick with sky.
All the wishes of good luck on here and the fact you know that they are from people that genuinely mean it.
Best of luck for the race and hope my selection Rare Bob(cos it was my late father's name)finishes 2nd behind yours.
