Is the reason your going with Pryce6 to Vegas because you have seen pics of his pyjamas? Will you mostly play cash out there or will you create a tourney package? How much % have I locked up for the package? Posted by dylan12
pryce6 would have told ryan that his pyjamas are better than anyone elses.
The AA v KK hand, I agree it's a call in that spot. However if there were 3 packages on offer with those chipstacks then I can find a fold versus Jakally Posted by TommyD
Totally agree with you!
but the momentum Kimpet had experienced up to that point rising from short stack to chip leader. You can understand why he made his move!
Total respect to Matt who must have been going through it. To pick himself up from 3 really bad beats and rebuild his stack to qualify was exhillerating to rail.
without doubt one of the most exciting comps i've had the pleasure to rail

Re: Poker School topic - I posted "Raise" earlier, but as I was too busy playing random Facebook games to remember to enter the main and mini, I'll write about Pocket Aces instead.
I play a lot of DYMs, so on the bubble, there's occasionally situations where it's correct to open fold AA pre-flop. Unfortunately, there's no TV DYMs so don't have a hand to send in which would illustrate this.
For example: £10 + £1 DYM, top 3 win £20 each. Chips stacks are as follows (for instance)
Seat 1 = 1,500
Seat 2 = 500
Seat 3 = 5,000 <---- Us.
Seat 4 = 5,000
For this example, we're in Seat 3.
We've got the cash pretty much locked up, and with the prize structure, ICM says our chip stack is worth very close to £20 - For convenience, let's say our stack is worth £19 as I'm not sure what the exact amount is.
Seat 1 and Seat 2 fold. We're dealt Aces in the Small Blind, and we're against Seat 4, who also has 5,000 chips. In this situation, it would be correct to open fold AA. Our stack is worth £19 and as we can only cash for £20, so if we get stacks in, we're essentially risking £19 to win £1.
Of course, Seat 4 should know it's a fold with ATC, but if not, we get called, it's -EV to be playing AA in this situation.
Talking of AA. In the 8.05 BH tonight i got AA somewhere in the very first five hands or so. So many players limp early doors. We had a limper and i was in mp. Blinds 10/20. I decided to try all-in to catch someone who may want to play pocket pair, AK etc. What do you think of this as a tactic especially early. Theres nothing worse than having a premium hand in late position with limpers galore then trying to push 'em out and finding all or enough stay with a 2 suit flop or something so you can't be sure as to where you are as people play and pay more for weird hands early doors. I think its the mentality of ..."if it doesn't work this once then i'll nit up and wait for a real hand in later levels." Your thoughts chaps......
PS Everyone folded and the chat box wasn't on to receive their opinions. (just getting thro' survivor on the other table at the time)
ryan just said he'd fold aces preflop on rare occassions, on what occassions would he fold them pre? Posted by The_Don90
ty for a great responce from Ryan in regards to this question. Only reason i asked is i done this once previous but Ryan mentioned a very similar situation as to it was hoping he would.

Interesting story about AA where I couldn't believe I didn't get more chips for my AA...
At Cardiff, I picked up AA in level 1, made a standard 3x raise, the guy to my right (a fellow squaddie) calls, flop comes 235 (all clubs), I stick in a c-bet of about half pot and he lays down 99 with the 9 clubs, I couldnt believe it. He didn't know I had AA with the nut flush and straight flush draw
Dont know if your still showing hand requests but if you are is there any chance of your thoughts on this hand please ?
It happened tonight while i was just 1 tabling on one of the tv action tables and watching the show.
The orig raiser was opening alot of pots from all diferent positions on the table and i thought i would be able to just steal what was in the pot pre with my reraise but once the flop comes down should i be continuing my strong line out of position v 2 players or just checking ?
Also after the hand the guy typed lol in the chat box (although he wasnt being a bad loser about it may i say) so apart from me being the biggest luckbox on site and hitting my gutshot i couldnt help wondering which of us had played the hand the worst because in his seat i wouldnt be even calling my bet pre with the hand he held.
With regards to the viva las vegas package i am planning on trying to qualify for the last final at the end of may. I was in Vegas just over a year ago and it was an unbelivable experience and i am dying to get back. Would like to ask for the chat box if Ryan can tell me what exactly the £10k package exactly includes. Obviously flights hotel etc but is entries to some to the side events included in the package aswell. It would be a dream for me to play at the wsop even if it was just 1 of the side events or indeed if there is the possibility of sateliting for the main event when i get out there.
