In Response to Re: DYM Laddering Challenge -- Turn 30p into £200 --- Prizes To Be Announced! : Jeez erm lol. This is only gonna cause a problem at level 1 really, but  yeah I'm not too sure really. It's unlikely to happen ever, but if by some chance it does, I guess you should post up on here and tell me it's happened then I can check if it looks right on sharkscope

    Hi Lambert

My original post was exactly the scenario and timings that happened last night should you want to check Sharkscope. But as you say, should only happen on Level 1

LOL Happened to me a few weeks ago.  I was short-stack as well!  Couldn't believe when I got back on and I'd cashed!

Could I sign-up for this challenge please?

Hi, if anyone was sufficiently bothered about this, the time of first hand could be verified via hand history

I've had word from Spagbol about his progress, so I thought I'd just post his message up here so everyone can see how he's getting on...

level 4 complete so onto £3.30 next.

short story so far 30p/60p hard to get out off seems players have got tight compared to last time played dym`s but made it through with roping in. The £1.15 easy breeze through, now the £2.25 was nitemare not the players but i got a lot lagging don`t know if lappy or sky-end but when decent hand and only have a second to act was a complete nightmare, talk about trying to calm and not tilt. So taking nite off and continue again tomorrow ( friday ) when the drunk fishes are around, lol

            regards and gl at tables

well as ealier e`mail stated cash 4 dyms then failed on £3.30 this morning, so started again made first 3 levels failed on £2.25 so started again got though 4 levels £3.30 to go again, but what is annoying won 11 out off 13 dym`s and still down what bankroll was this morning by 90p, lol

Has anyone thought that the DYMs are taking a lot longer to play out than they used to say a year ago? I did the first 2 levels the other night and total playing time was nearly 2 hours?

Yeah definitely Dagg. It seems pretty standard that they get to like level 7 blinds now. It's annoying how many times I've got to like 200/400 blinds or it's lasted ages and there's still 6 left.

I remember the days in the really cheap DYMs that you could basically sit out, and you'd have cashed by level 3-4 lol.

10 days ago I started with a bankroll of £10

Last couple of days I have been trying the DYM laddering challenge & kept coming unstuck at the £2.25 level, which hurt as i had built the bankroll up quite nicely playing the Dym's at that level. Have now just won the £5.50 level 6 which takes the bankroll to £71.05.

What on earth do I do now?? would love to take the next level on but that is now a huge chunk of the roll, or do i be conservative ( a coward ) & stick to playing the £2.25 as I had promised myself till i got over £100 + . Knowing that this is the last level at which failure would mean an overall loss, do I take the money and run??

    What would anybody else do?

Personally I'd just go for it, as you've pointed out, this is the last level where you could make a loss, so if you just get through 1 more game, you're up no matter what happens. Also, you haven't really lost £5.50 if you lose, cos the most you can ever lose by trying this challenge is 80p, the rest is just risking your own profit.

Take a shot, once you get past that level, pressures off, it's all win, then you can go on to win £200 stress-free :)
