PC spec for multitabling

im hoping some kind hearted people out there can point me in the right direction.

im gonna be saving up soon to invest in a new pc and im just doing a little research online but when it comes to tech terms im absolutley clueless.

my aim in the future is to hopefully play in the region of 12-15 tables but that will be after slowly building up from my current 6 that i can manage on my current pc. i understand monitor resolution plays a part in this n have just about got my head around what type of monitor is needed.

what i'd like to know is what spec would be needed in the unit to support these aims. i would like advice on what processor, ram etc would be required. i dont need or require anything too fancy, i just want something thats gonna do the job in hand and last for a few year.

thanks in advance for any help given

Yeah buy an imac for £1500 when you can buy a pc equivelent for 500.

Then set up windows to run on your expensive imac so you can run all the apps and pokersites on it that you want.

I'm just rolling out my new PC, an HP Elite 7300 MT i7-2600 (3.4Ghz) with 6Gb RAM.

Fired up 12 tables through the browser and it barely even noticed. 10% CPU util and less than half the RAM. Download should be even lighter.

Cost about £520+VAT (No monitor) but that was from distribution.

£500+ish will get you a decent enough machine from somewhere like custom built pc's
Just don't go to pc world or curry's

    £1000ish is very high end

£700 is like top notch - thank you very much

you get what you pay for really,

ya monitors resolution the key to how many tables you can play - the higher the res = more tabes
1920x1200 will fit 12tables in mini view

    have fun-

kinda high end CPU + memory on this one

ive been browsing these custom pc sites and had already ruled out the high street shops,

a decent enough machine will suit me fine. for the levels i play anything else would be a waste i think
