Just a quick note to say I've had a much more satisfactory response from Sky Adam this morning and my concerns are being investigated, which is all I really wanted to hear.
I have had a lot of disconnections lately. I read a chat once which said that the person was having connection problems because he has a useless computer. I use two very good computers and still have connection problems with both whilst my AOL line remains ok.
Irony is that I am reading a book on coping with tilt which is working on me, but does not mention disconnection tilt which affects me badly especially when I have the nuts or as good as and am folded.
Difficult to know where the blame lies on disconnection but can only say until very recently was not affected by disconnection problems so do not think it is my computer or ISP
This has happened to me a lot in the last 2 or 3 weeks. It never happened before then (with the download version, at least). Like the stock response says, it can be decisive. It's incredibly frustrating when you're trying to get into a pot, but cannot, and then the flop would have given you the nuts. +1 for me the last 2-3 weeks sky as been unplayable,the BIG other site no problem at all,im a complete technophobe,but even i feel there is a problem with sky.
I'm also getting same problems described above: lobby failing to load, multiple disconnections while spotify/other programs are unaffected. For me the site is becoming close to unusable, Sky needs to listen to it's customers. as much as we like other aspects of the site, we wont be putting up with this indefinitely. I can 3x multitable FLAWLESSLY using a major site on my phone with 3g connection, why cant i do the same with a laptop and wifi using sky download??? Posted by simonnatur

Seen loads of these threads go up in the last month, but havent seen any official replies. I know this isnt customer care but it seems like people are saying the same thing.
I know that for Sky to look into any problem they need hand history of when the disconection happened if you email the id numbers in of the hands that at least they have somewhere to start to try and find out where the problem is.
2. My cards hanging while multi not all the time but mainly peak times and not every day about 1/2 week. I then either miss my hand or have under a sec to act (if you have been at table with when this has happened I know it must have frustrating but I dont play like that sorry) I sure we all agree we not only get a lot out the site but know Sky will want to sort this. This one is a killer for me. I get terrible lag when i open more than 2 tables at any time day or night and I have a great connection and good spec computer. I never get disconnected so i'm sure this is a software problem with sky.
I have uninstalled reinstalled and updated everything to try fix this, even upgraded to 8gb of ram to no avail. I run no other programs when playing.
Maybe we should post our system specs to see if there are any common problem areas.

Good idea Teevers but what you really need to do is contact customer care, explain that your having problems with disconnections and provide them with all those details. They will also need to know dates and times, if possible hand id's, so they can pass the details onto the Tech boys.
It might also be worth waiting till after tonights update. I have no idea if it will help with solving peoples disconnection problems but it can't hurt to wait another 24 hours before raising any issues with CC.

i think alot are losing patience with this. We have had no advice from any SKY representatives about these problems and alot will be leaving the site if it carries on much longer.

I was just near the end of a long reply and a sky popup crashed my browser!! I love this site.
In short: Contacting sky support is a lot of effort to get a generic useless reply time and again. I think it's time to cause a scene and fill the forums with these threads about software problems. If we all join together they will have to do something fast to save their image.

I know that you mean well, Kiwini4u, but there are some concerns I have with the constant suggestions that the only appropriate way to deal with this is to contact customer care:

I have though seen many people complaining about the problem and many people saying that Customer Care always come back with the same response: "There are no problems with Sky servers, it must be a fault on your end". Sometimes they have apparently said things along the lines of "We have had no other complaints about this issue" although others have commented on the same problem in the forum and have had the same discussion with Customer Care.
The reason I now think it is important for a forum thread like this to be maintained is that, although many of us are robust enough to voice displeasure or disbelief of the Customer Care response, others may be more timid. It seems to me that, if the reports of the Customer Care service's attitude are correct, then it is their policy to take advantage of these timid people and save themselves and Sky a bit of money at the expense of people who perhaps lack the confidence to stand up for themselves, or those people who are not well-informed about the broader client base's experiences.
In these circumstances, I don't think it necessarily serves the interests of the forum to discourage threads such as this. The mods (which I believe you are) are here to serve the best interests of the members of the forum, not the best interests of Sky or it's Customer Care provider.
As I say, I take no position on the issue of disconnections as I have no experience of it. However, if all the reports are correct and Customer Care's attitude is being equally well reported, then these threads should be maintained until both problems are resolved. Otherwise it will be all too easy for more vulnerable players to be exploited.
Yea ive had these disconnections throughout the last few weeks, had a few on cash tables earlier, the signal on my lappy is excellent, im on virgin broadband and other programmes are fine. ???

This is something else that has been brought up in the past a few times but still keeps occuring. With seemingly more pop-ups than there used to be this can be really frustrating.
I,m guessing it must be a glitch that can,t be easily fixed or surley it would have been by now
