    Hi Folks!
My Fave sports movie has to be Any Given Sunday. Directed by the legendary Oliver Stone and with Al Pacino absolutely chewing up every scene. Also strong performances from Cameron Diaz, Jamie Fox and Denis Quaid and did I mention Cameron Diaz. Also its about American Football which is a sport I've always found interesting but haven't watched alot of.
Anyway, thats my two cents worth, best of luck with tonights show, I'm sure it'll be brill. All the best,
    Eamonn

By the way, tonight's Sky Poker School topic is... Playing from under the gun. We'd appreciate your thoughts, experiences and examples (i.e. Hand IDs). Does UTG really mean that much in a six-max game? What's your opening range from this position? Do you consider it a good spot to bluff from?

Forget UTG. Tikay wins in Vegas  ................thoughts please Mr H  :)

i liked the play with the ak there james

these tournaments play very soft and loose and you can and will get called there with a lot worse than ak often enough

No contest for the sporting Film!

The Absent Minded Professor original 1961 version

    Its got everything James loves!

    American Football!

Mind I think its a rip off of Andy Pandy The main character was a weed and Flubber does sound like a plaiiarythym of flobbleob

Great analysis as I suspected! We're here to educate! Keep it up - you've got 2 x weeks to get this lot into shape!

    Hi
Not a big fan of sporting films, however I did thoroughly enjoy Hidalgo.  I don't think it falls into your typical sporting film which is probably why I liked it.

I agree with Raging Bull being the best sports film. It's a really powerful masterpiece.

Two other sports films I enjoyed that go down the feel good route but still managing to be funny are The Bad News Bears and the remake Bad News Bears.

If you can squeeze this into the clinic, I'd love to know what James thinks of it. It's from the TV timed tourney this evening:

    Hand History #533600806 (19:30 21/06/2012

I'm fairly convinced the shove is fine to claim the 800 chips in the middle and add about 25% to my stack. I didn't think anyone would be limping in this format with such a big hand. It worked out in the end.

Do you think that I'll get enough folds in the long run to make this a +ev shove... When I get called, I'm not likely to be facing KK or AA anyway.
