I arrive at Kevin Smith's Table to see him in a hand, on the Button.

There seems to be about 15,000 in the middle, & Kev has just bet his last 9,800 on the Turn, so Big Blind has to call 9,800 to win around 36,000.

But the BB only has 20,000, so it is half his stack........

    The Board reads 10c-9c-Ah-2s.

Big Blind gives a MONSTER dwell.

I move to the other side of the Table, so I can try & get a read on Kev.

Kev looks VERY nervous, he has gone bright red in the face, & is breathing hard. He does NOT want a call, it seems to me. He can't have that Ace.

I fancy the BB has a bad ace, but Kev has no ace (my read), so this could be end of the road.

After 5 or 6 minutes, the BB eventually calls, & flips over As-5s. Ugh, he does have an Ace.

A split second later, I see Kev's hand - he has 10h-10d - top set, & BB is drawing dead!

    36,000, oh yes.

I used to have that tell live.. (along with the Tilly heave and the hand trembles..)

Now I tell myself in my head I have a stone cold bluff hand and it calms me down and keeps the adrenaline at bay..

    p.s. wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii for Kev!!!

Lozzy, we might be in trouble when Logdon sees you called variance a woman.

You & me must stand together, & be strong, on this. I'll be right behind you.

    Neil Channing SenseiChanning

Made the dinner break with 20,600 at 500/1000. Fairly frustrating day wouldn't really cover it.

Interesting WSOP fact; They have never lost a green 25,000 chip. Many of the smaller denominations have been lost over the years.
