Q for the WSOPME structure experts.....I was getting confused by day 1a,1b, 1c etc. so "google is ya friend" Anyhoo, I now know how it works BUT I notice in the structure that after some levels as well as Antes going up there is a "REMOVE xx CHIPS". Anyone know what this means? & just thinking about the logistics of this..Why?

it is to remove the smallest denomination chips as the levels go up and the numbers playing reduce. otherwise you would have chip towers in front of everyone.
The remove chips will be "running off" the lowest value chips (or people end up with millions of 25 or 50 value chips once they get a big stack), and as antes are a minimum of "say" 100, you never need these smaller denominations. Generally one player at the table "buys" them all in multiples of 100, and any left-overs are run off (randomly 1 in 4 25 chip-holder will be given a 100 chip - determined by dealing cards) HTH
In the last hand at their table, action folded around to Terry Grimes on the button. He looked down at his cards and said, "Let's get this over with," before moving all in for well over 200,000. The small blind got out of the way, but Kevin Davis called off for nearly 200,000 from the big blind.
It's the colour up process you see in any live tournament. As the levels progress after a while you don't need the 25 chips anymore, than the 100 chips anymore etc
You race them off, colour up so that the physical number of chips in stacks is more manageable
eg blinds are 50,000-100,000 and you raise to 225,000...the TD or dealer don't want you rasing in denominations of 25 or 100...slows the game down enormously

This is purely as a guess but I would hazard a guess that say you have reached the level of 800/400 with a 100 ante there would be no need for a chip with a value of 25 as all increments thereafter are a minimum of 100 & therefore pointless to have 4 x 25 chips as 1 x 100 does the job. equally once you reach the 4,000/2,000 500 ante level the 100 chips are removed.
What would the blinds have been in this hand? 200k @ 600/1.2k or something? A 175xbb open jam, and a call........ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Davis Doubles Big In Last Hand of the Night In the last hand at their table, action folded around to Terry Grimes on the button. Its where people have been eating at the table and left their chips, at the break they get removed. In the united states of america its more commonly known as 'removing the french fries'.

Well that, I would say, is an imperfect finish. Last hand of the day, re-raise all in with 99...

...my opponent has QQ and 7000 chips less than me! So I'm through to Day 3 but with four big blinds.
