    Up at six on a Sunday morning...what is that all about?? (or have I just got in?)

    Thanks for the updates/blog Tikay.....It may look like not many people are following but I am sure folk will add comments throughout the day.

    Can you not persuade the organisers to change the tournament to European/British time next year?

    The final level of the day has just commenced, so 2 more hours to go.

    Marc's original table has broken, so I now have the task of finding his new Table. There are ariund 70 tables still in play.

    Needle in haystack, much?

    Search & Rescue Party successful, he is on Orange 408.

    Looks to be playing some 60,000, with Blinds 200/400/50. 

    What a structure - started with 30,000 chips, & in the ninth hour, Blinds are 200/400/50!

    Anyway, there is about 60,000 there.

    Note how many greens (25's), which indicates he is playing lots & lots of small pots. Whilst I was there, he was just opening every hand, & c-betting any sign of weakness.





    This young man was on his Table. The other players were all wearing shades.

    I now have "runners" getting me chip counts (Dylan & Wayne), & I gather Marc is up to 110,000.

    Less than an hour to play today.....

    Play ends in 15 minutes, & Marc has around 65,000 - 70,000.

    Lovely atmo on his Table, he has been opening every single pot, but the lads are all having a laugh about his "opening range".

    All "non-players" are removed from the cardrooms 10 mins before the end of play, then the players bag up their chips, sign for them, & toddle off.

    I was hoping Marc would drop in & let me know his closing chip count, but we seem to have missed each other, but I hope we can safely assume he finished with a decent stack.
     
    If so, that's a good days work. 

    Tomorrow (today? - Sunday) it is Day 1b.

    We have the following scheduled to play 1b.....

    Matt Bates

    Wayne

    TommyD

    Kevin (OldBoy). 

    Play will start at Noon sharp, & it'll be rinse repeat, with Updates on this Thread, and a running photo Blog updated during the day. 4 players too, so hopefully, 4 times as much action. 

    Have a lovely Sunday. 

    Sausage time again, get that fork, I'm done. Night all.

    looks like redmond lee was in day 1a too.  he is through to day two with 33,000 chips in 419th place.  great.

    Great updates tikay (and everyone else who added their snippits of info too).

    If anyone is reading this I reckon another quick post from each of us will give tikay a little boost to keep his updating as good as it has been.

    An update thread without much feedback can be quite draining.

    Just caught up reading this blog and looking at all the photo updates, really appreciate all the long hours and tatty snaps and other photo's.Well cashed Tommy and Thewy at Binions(is it rude to ask what the chop up paid?).

    Good luck to all the sky team out there, who are yet to play their day ones and well played to Marc and Reds for making next day.Cheers Dave.
