Please no more tournies that involve bounties!! lol.
A timed tourney, HU, Turbo with Bounties and shuffle the players every 2 hands.... I jest of course lol.
Now the real idea, Emma had the beginnings of an idea as soon as this thread went up and she's asked me to run with it... Beat The Clock
3000 starting stack
10/20 15/30 20/40 The first 5 levels will be at 5 min blinds 25/50 30/60
40/50 50/100 75/150 The second 5 levels will be at 8 min blinds 80/160 100/200
150/300 200/400 250/500 All levels from 150/300 onwards will be at 12 min blinds 300/600 400/800 and so on....
It'll suit alot of people who wanna get stuck in early doors to either build up a stack or bust out and move on to the next one. It get's the early levels out the way quickly and should hopefully allow for a bit more play in the latter (far more important) stages.
They're probably best suited for evenings where they can get 80-100 runners or more to give the full benefit of the structure.
How about a tournament called SLAPHEAD!--- 10 min blinds freezeout-- Everyone is issued with a robotic arm plugged in to their computer, -- if they lose more than 10% of their chips, they get to slap one person round the head.
£50 guaranteed Mixed Game Mashup Round up, round up, new game in Town . . . so this is how it goes . . . In the Mix we have HOLDEM (NL)+ OMAHA HI (pot limit) + Omaha HI-LO (pot Limit) you start with 3000 chips with 10 min blinds. Starting with Holdem the game will change every 20 min (every 2 blind changes) This game will hopefully introduce you to the less popular games out there and enhance your overall poker skills. Additional details; Buy In = £5.50 (£5 + 50p) Approximate run time = 3 hr Start Time = 7:30 pm (if it makes the guarantee im sure it could go on every day or every other day) Blind structure as follows . . . 1 10.00 / 20.00 10 2 15.00 / 30.00 10 3 20.00 / 40.00 10 4 30.00 / 60.00 10 5 40.00 / 80.00 10 6 50.00 / 100.00 10 7 75.00 / 150.00 10 8 100.00 / 200.00 10 9 150.00 / 300.00 10 10 200.00 / 400.00 10 11 300.00 / 600.00 10 12 400.00 / 800.00 10 Also the First place winner will receive a Sky Poker T-Shirt and a Mug signed by Tikay.....:) Posted by WHOAMI196
Like the idea of mixed games but maybe start with basic Holdem (NL) + Omaha (NL) as not many people will understand Hi-Lo , Pot limit , etc...

I think people are more used to PLO than NLO and NLO could definitely turn into a bit of a crapshoot with some maniacs who don't know what they're doing.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I actually laughed out loud , what a geek
No one want bigger structure then?? Get a two day one, let the skill run the show not some HYPER donk fest which cuts the edge down to a min. Posted by Batkin88
I just think no-one wants to pay £250 lol.
Plus with it being online and you playing probably 3 times as many hands per hour compared to live, what would be a live 2day event, could easily be done in 1day online.
Yes indeed but have you played one of the 2 day ones on the big one?? There quality and so much more value for money. With a good sat structure the buy in shouldn't really matter. Even if not 2 day just not ten minutes lol
Ok-- a serious one---- How about a tournament that goes on for the whole month!---- no blinds or antes (or blinds stay the same, but away players don't pay)-- 10,000 chips---- 3 quid entry---enter anytime you like-- play anytime you like-- payout based on stacks at end of month-- call it-- Monthly Massive
think yours his a great idea batkin i came up with a simerler idea 12 months ago 2 day main event nothing came of it most on here just want wam bam thank u mam structure
75% prizepool and 25% on players, once you have one your table you go through to the next round
I have seen tihs on TV on the live front and i think it would work well as long as it was worked out on average your not waiting too long to the next table, maybe make it so approx each table lasts 30 mins max, would have a think of blinds etc if you want to do this shouldnt be too hard.

Another idea would be a 6 max shootout BH 75% prizepool and 25% on players, once you have one your table you go through to the next round I have seen tihs on TV on the live front and i think it would work well as long as it was worked out on average your not waiting too long to the next table, maybe make it so approx each table lasts 30 mins max, would have a think of blinds etc if you want to do this shouldnt be too hard. I did consider suggesting a shootout, but really it needs to have a number of runners that is divisible easily for the tables and to get to a FT of 6, so really it would need to be a big SnG as appose to an MTT with uncapped runners (IMO) and I don't think Sky have the player base to fill a 216 runner (for example) SnG without the first player who registers having to wait an age for it to kick off.
216 would create 36 winners, which would create 6 winners for the FT if you're wondering why 216.
Otherwise it would just have to be a 36 runner SnG with the 6 winners going to a FT.
It runs every night at midnight, 50% of the money goes into the nightly prize pool and 50% goes into weekly prize pool. Only first place is paid but the top 10 receive Night Owl league points (10th=1pt... 1st=10pts).
The League week runs from Saturday to Friday, at which point whoever has the most points wins the weekly prize pool (joint 1st splits the prize)
2) Multi-Table Madness
£2.50 (+50p) x4= £10 (+£2) 8min Blinds
8.30pm Wednesday
It consists of 4 identical simultaneous tournaments, normal payout structure but the prize pool is paid out based on the total position from all four tournaments.
1 in 5 on Mon & Tues get entered into the Semi on Fri, and 1 in 5 on Weds & Thurs get entered into the Semi on Sat.
1 in 5 on Fri & Sat get entered into the Final on Sun
1 in 5 on Sundays final get £100 (sky keep £25 for each place paid to make up for the lack of rake during the week)
So the micro stakes players get 4 days to turn £1 into £100, mid range players can still join in on Fri or Sat and turn £5 to £100. Additionally, because the rake gets paid in the final, there’s less incentive for sharks looking for value. Which all adds up to a pretty soft tournament, hence the name... Easy Money.

More please
You are dealt 3 cards, you must use 2 from your hand and discard one after the flop, you play the turn and river with the two cards you kept.
At Showdown like Omaha, you must use 2 from your hand!
