Yeah i think ive got a better understanding of it now. I will defiantly read more on poker and hopefully become a better player. Thanks for your time and effort in explaining it to me i really appreciate it and you too lambert.
The absolutely classic work of Sklansky Theory of Poker is a great place to start to get an idea of all the general maths and thoughts you should be having. Very old book but it is ALL still applicable.
I think it was Sklansky that said "The games the same, just got more fierce".
Think i raise pre to try to get rid of BB. If Btn calls, i raise flop all-in as you have 9+3 outs(surely he raises w/ the ace-+greater than T initially) so you have greater equity plus he can fold for one third of his stack or so. Semi-bluff but can be a great result either way.

Admittedly I am biased as I have reads on at least one of the players in the pot but I think in this spot raising is pointless and really like the flat. We have a pretty hand which may give us a load of equity, however we're OOP and buying the pot on a later street purely on initiative is unlikely to happen in this specific spot. We're playing this hand to flop big or to flop nowt, I want the BB for greater implied odds when we do flop nicely.
As played as soon as we lose our FE I'm out of the way. I curse a little but I still get out of the pot. On a good day. On a bad day I stack off because it all looks so pretty.
