I think the fact he is 11/4 in a 140 runner tournament will put most people off. A lot can go wrong on a golf course, and I don't think anyone should ever be that low odds. If you're betting on just the double then it's OK. Posted by FlashFlush
Jeez it's actually a 210 runner tournament! How can they get away with putting him up at less than 3/1? Talk about an ego boost!

As u know yourself Charles, might be 210 players, but most of them are ' journeymen' who have zip chance of winning.
Well if the PGA tour has told us anything so far this season, it's look out for the rookies! I had a look at the end of the Web.com tour last season and I saw Ben Kohles had won 2 of the last 4 events. I then looked at last weeks results in the Humana challenge and he had shot -10, which isn't great but he was -14 after 54 holes only to shoot a +4 on Sunday and very much stayed under the radar. This came after a solid although not spectacular -7 in the Sony open. Not sure if this week will be his week as there are a lot of top names in the field this week, but depending on his performances I think I may stay with him for a while, because with these rookies, as soon as they get that bink then they will not get to those odds again. PGA Tour Ben Kohles - 300/1 £2 e/w Sang-Moon Bae - 100/1 £2 e/w European Tour Thorbjorn Oleson - 25/1 - £3 win only Scott Jamieson - 66/1 £2 e/w Scott Jamieson seems crazy odds this week. OK he has probably been over achieving in recent weeks, but to be 66/1 when he has been right up there in all the events recently apart from last week could be giving money away. Also did 50p e/w doubles which could be as much as 10k return with those crazy odds lol Posted by FlashFlush
Watch this space... Didn't think of putting $ on him this week as I felt it would be a week for the big names, but I certainly have now

The leaderboard is starting to look very South Africanish, you could be on for a good week!
In Response to Re: Get in the Hole! 2013 Season! (Pebble Beach + Joburg Open) Year Profit: -38.5pts : No mate but strongly fancy Sterne so I thought i would give all you pro's a tip. Gone with you and doubled him up with Johnson Posted by vaigret
You should have doubled him with Snedeker Father V lol. Good shout with 9 holes to go.
Wd Father V, gl Flash. . . Obv doesn't count but I did Sneds' and Sterne in a double yesterday @ 2/1 and 8/11... Just hope I haven't 'stiffed' him for u Charles.
One little brag allowed maybe??? Surely not many will have the WHOLE top 5 in their fantasy team this week? That and 7 in the top 9, and 9 in the top 16, I might sneak in the top 10 for the week. Maybe Grace might cost me (how ironic after the good deed he did me last year lol).

You can't do much more than pick the complete top 5, really well done!
The fact that you've backed that up with 2 more in the top 10, must give you a great chance of a fantasy top 10finish this week.
I'll be disappointed for you if you don't make it.

Sorry you didnt get on dart.
I just couldnt beleive the price which is why I did him. He had been so close in recent other tournies , so was on good form and in his home country I just couldnt see past him.
You got 7th Neil!!! Both of you qualified for the top 10 challenge! now I need to sort myself out! Posted by FlashFlush
Get the **** in!!!! Didn't think results would be up so quick. Tbh Charles, I think it was a great result that one of us got in the top ten. Two of us is an incredible result. If Yourself, Splashes, or Dubmaster can get the treble up by the end of the season, that would be like lottery odds.

Cheers Dart, the rooting for each other on the site, makes it special.

I'm on Danny Willett at 20/1 ew 1/4 the odds first 5, which I think is excellent value given he is 25/1 against the field with most bookmakers.
Similar value to be found in the 'Without Mickleson, Johnson and Snedeker' market.
I've taken 33/1 on Steve Marino again 1/4 odds first 5.
Good Luck all!
