Think I'll join in the fun this week with a few long shots. Had some money on PP so just stuck all my bets on there. FRL (7 places) Chris Wood 75/1 Soren Kjeldsen 80/1 Matthew Southgate 130/1 Outright (8 places) Chris Wood 125/1 Soren Kjeldsen 125/1 Matthew Southgate 250/1 Posted by splashies
Nice profit for the week thanks to this chap. Came out of nowhere really, as none of my picks were ever in contention.
Bit late to post, happy with 3 of the starts so far, shame I didn't go for a FRL with Olesen All on sky ew 8 places Matsuyama 12/1 Koepka 25/1 Hoffman 40/1 Mollinari 125/1 Olesen 200/1 Danny Lee 200/1 Posted by Phantom66
My first missed Major bet. Unfortunately Sky haven't got the coverage as they have a great build up to their coverage, I didn't realise the golf was on!
Being of a certain age where 'Grandstand was king of sport' R.I.P BBC sport, not sure why you've bothered with this Major, they've treated this tournament as a PS at the end of the day, like the national anthem used to be at midnight. Even Peter Allis sounds like he'd rather be watching another repeat of Bargain Hunt.
Coverage didn't improve sadly, it's a terrible shame but I think Peter Allis is struggling. At one point, when Thomas chipped in, he said Hideki will have heard the roar but won't know yet who has done what. Errrrm Peter he is playing with Thomas so I think he might have worked it out.
WP Thomas though, cost me a bit but at least I had a saver bet on a boosted Thomas/Oosthuizen at 11/4.
Still a handy profit though.
Did anyone see the stat that all four Major winners this year have a forename/surname with 6 letters each.
Sergio Garcia Brooks Koepka Jordan Speith Justin Thomas

He came out with a few suprising mistakes the other day. Used to like him but am getting bored now of the constant slating off the courses in the States and yes Peter we know all he players were better in your day . You,ve banged on about it for long enough
Quite sad as well to hear so many people not even realise it was on the BBC. This is a great event and could have been advertised and done alot better
