well done mate and I got a winner and place double as well phew .Dont know if my nerves can stand this golf betting Posted by vaigret
Wd Terry. I thought that last putt was gonna sneak left at the hole. Tbh I never got that excited as DJ was always just too far behind. Cursing his missed short birdie putt on the par 5 14th now. But hey ho.
Well he made hard work of that on the back nine didn't he? Jeeeezzz. I've had my free Sky TV taken away this weekend after 3 years of having it, so had to watch the scores online instead. Wow did he make me sweat!

How'd you manage to get free sky for 3 years?
I turned my sports off just before Christmas and watching scores thru apps and the betting markets is grim lol if I'm sweating on a decent return then I hit the dodgy websites for streaming.
I was in priority for about 6 months I think, and they were giving away free Sky world packages. Only been making 2-3k points for about 2 years now and it's taken them that long to take it away. lol

In this day and age u must know someone with sky and sky go that don't use their max?? U could use your lap top/tablet to watch all the sport on the back of their account and it doesn't cost anything.
Failing that I can get an extra 2 devices added to my account for £5 a month I think it is. I'll check into it.
After day 1 in both events I didn't see too much golf this week and my own picks were pretty much down and out after day 1, but must admit following your picks kept my interest levels up.
I've already done my research for the African Open and have a list of 6 players, I'm waiting on the bookies now, so I can decide who makes the cut for me and who doesn't.

110% sure you will have a certain Mr Baldwin in there, even I am thinking of backing him this week!

Lol, it appears you know me too well.
Matthew Baldwin is top of my list this week and already my starman in my fantasy team.
I'm hoping to get 50/1 and if I can I'll have a decent bet on him this week, (well decent for me).
Well I'm off on my travels tomorrow, so I'm also having to get my bets on early. I've started with a very predictable (for me), double Africa Open, Matthew Baldwin - 33/1 Northern Trust, Graham DeLaet - 22/1 Ew singles and double Posted by TheDart
I like the sound of this one think I'll have a dabble on it too.
I've fired in Hoey and Hass and done all 4 in EW doubles and used my £5 free bet.
No strong opinion in Africa this week. Done Garth Mulroy ew 50/1 with Skybet. Robert Rock ew 55/1 with SJ. Alan Versfield ew 200/1 Skybet.
In the US DJ again 14/1 and Ryan Moore 33/1. Don't feel picks are strong enough to do any doubles. Though I might end up just sticking Rock with the 2 US picks in small ew doubles.

Don't u think the price on DeLeat now getting ridiculous given he's still a maiden??
Perez has been threatening to do something recently but not quite getting there. 2nd, 11th and 7th in last 3 starts. His record here isn't great with a best result of T13 in 5 attempts. Having said that he has recorded a 65 and a 66 round this course and a couple of 68's. Going by previous scores four 68's should put you in good shape to be right up there. With perez's improved consistency recently and his ability to go low here I think 50/1 is a great price.
Bill Haas 29/1 £2ew
Hard to not fancy someone who has finished 3rd, 1st and 12th here in his last three years. Isnt playing badly but certainly isnt in top form so potential that this one could fizzle out quick.
Justin Rose 26/1 £2 ew
Went for a 3rd pick this week because don't like euro tour this week. Rose is mr consistent here. Best round of 67 and worst round of 73 with an average of 70 for his twelve rounds. He was in really good form at end of last year with 6 top 10's in last 6 starts. 26/1 good value for 5th best player in the world?!
Euro
as said don't really fancy this event and field this week but went with:
Tjart Van Der Walt 40/1 £1ew - T5 and T2 in last two years.
Michael Hoey 40/1 £1ew - No idea just want him to win and I foolishly believe he could win
