Who won what on Monday 4th May, Mini UKOPS Day 4

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 161,274

Morning.

This thread is for Mini UKOPS ONLY, the regular stuff is elsewhere.

Well Day 4 (of 10) of this Mini UKOPS is done & it's going really well. Numbers are good, but more importantly, everyone seems to be having fun, which is what recreational players are supposed to be doing.

Shout out for @NOSTRI here who has done such a superb job with that challenge thing he has organised. He's clearly a Spready whizz, right up there in the @mumsie class, & he's done a terrific job. He writes really well too, he's in the @SR23 mould there, though I fancy less of an utter degen.

When I see the community spirit & fun those guys are having, I'm tempted to try & get the Cheeses to bung us a few free entries for a little weekly or monthly league of some sort for the smaller stake guys. I don't have time to run it, but if someone does, I might be able to find some free entries. It needs to be well run though, & I certainly don't have the time or ability to do that.

OK, back on topic, Mini UKOPS Guarantees of £11,500 were exceeded by a handsome 52% last night. Star billing went to the Mini (The Mini Main, if you like), which made an eye-watering £8,500. Think it should be re-named the Monsta Mini.

£3,000 Mini UKOPS 16 BH £3,385

£500 Mini UKOPS 17 PLO £620

£1,000 Mini UKOPS 18 BH £1,490

£5,000 Mini UKOPS 19 BH £8,500

£2,000 Mini UKOPS 20 Turbo BH £3,504

    £3,000 Mini UKOPS 16 BH (£3,385)

The winner has quite a pedigree here, he was in the Top 20 Most Profitable MTT-ers here all the way back in 2011. Amazing the longevity of so many of our players.

Runner-up was EUREKA, who I gather played whilst sitting in his bath.

Hon Mention goes to SidV79 in 9th.

I watched a lot of this & old eon1961 looked like he had it all sewn up most of the way, but Allan23 got there eventually & took the honours, & with it bragging rights for The Grand Wizards. Not sure I enjoy the term "Grand Wizards", with it's KKK connotations, but of course that was certainly not intended. Very well done to Allan23.

In 7th was a name I've not seen here for ages, JockBMW, who was a regular here over 10 years ago & was one of the lads. Think he was a cook on an oil rig or something.

Well done @lundie. I always think of Lundy when I see his alias, Lundy of course features in the Shipping Forecast, & that's something which is a lot more interesting than many realise. (Did you know the areas are read out geographically clockwise? Not many things in life can lay claim to that). For years I always assumed Lundy was off the coast of Scotland, near the Orkneys or somesuch. Was quite a shock to discover it's in Devon.

2nd was the retired reporobate @Sunday8pm with norhubarb - what a great alias - 3rd.

4th was trevil, who is a roofer by trade & frequents the Sky Poker PLO8 pool.

    @lundie 1490000 1 £175.07 + £43.72 Head Prizes 16

Yes, fair comment, so @waller02 gets to share the Milk Monitor badge with you.

You are the one doing all the admin mate, and it's really appreciated. Loving the spreadsheets and write ups each day.

I've just had another look at what I wrote, & I think I do owe Ryan @waller02 an apology for my failure to give him due credit.

Not at all, don't sweat it. I just came up with an idea, but due to my lack of spreadsheet ability @NOSTRI offered his services, which is by far the most time consuming part of the side bet. All I do now is turn up each night and lose.

It's been a bit of a team effort tbh with @PKRPar doing the draw on his twitch channel.

    Good bunch on here.

It was an easy oversight to make in my view. If you have been perusing the Mini UKOPS Results thread, as well as the lobbies, his name does not appear much. So you have highlighted the names which are in the forefront of your vision. I feel sorry for his Team mate. I think HIS selection of a dodgy team name did not help matters.

    Morning Ryan ;)

Ok, watch this space , it’s a marathon not a sprint, we are poised and ready to pounce. Thanks for the support tho, much appreciated.

I swear I saw you chip leading with 1 furlong to go, unlucky on not taking it down.

You're supposed to take the pi55 out of the other teams, not your own team mate.....I'm the Mo Farah of poker anyway, hanging around at the back of the field in the early stages, before moving my way up and destroying the competition with a late sprint finish (maybe).

You recovered from your bubble Mr pink stuff? Old habit or just standard from you, yeah I know I'm a luck box vs you then proceeded to run AK into AA lol with about 32 left. I will win one soon though...
