Came across this thread this morning as I did the same thing yesterday, qualifying for a £22 satellite but then being told I had to go out by the boss (aka the wife). So I cancelled registration and lost the money.
However, after reading Tikay's helpful replies I contacted sky and they've put me into a £22 tournament tonight. Nice and easy, thanks Tikay!
Oh, and as this is my first post, hi to the forum and all its users. Maybe see you all at the tables. You may have already noticed me at the tables if you look at whose blinds you all pinch
Good to see you here & I'm pleased Customer Care sorted you out. Generally, if you approach them sensibly & politely, & are not taking the pee, they always try yo help players in these situations, despite what some on this thread have claimed.
