Clive Rowlands: Former Wales captain, coach, president and Lions manager dies, aged 85
that picture should be in the "amazing picture" thread.....wonderful image, shots like that, make me think the camera actually does capture a bit of peoples soul.
Really saddened by this. Saw Whitesnake, the best line ups, 1st with Duck Dowle on drums 2nd with Ian Paice on the skins many times. Whilst mickey Moody took much of the plaudits for the guitar work it was Bernies driving blues riffs and hard rock style of rhythm that cemented much of the work on the albums.
However, it was in the live arena that both Snake and Bernie came alive, check out the Live in the Heart of The City double album to get the true Whitesnake experience.
Bernie Marsden, underrated, definately. The glue that held a band together, absoluckingfutely. R.I.P

What a life he had, & what a character he was.
Bent as a nine bob note of course, I doubt even he'd deny that, but a fascinating character all the same.
When his son & Princess Di were killed in that dreadful car crash in Paris, I think it unhinged him mentally.
But dozens, if not hundreds, of young female employees of Harrods, do not remember him fondly.
That isn't to say that he was likeable and certainly had peccadilloes that by todays standards are entirely unacceptable.
