There has already been a Trial in relation to whether Trump sexually assaulted this lady. He had legal advice, and decided (presumably on that legal advice) that he would not appear in person at that trial.
On the assumption that this works in a broadly similar way to England, the advice will be privileged (no-one is allowed to know what it is). But any sane Counsel would have warned Mr Trump that not turning up to the first trial would have 1 big advantage. And 1 big disadvantage.
The advantage? If he doesn't go on the stand, he can't be cross-examined. Which means he can avoid being forced to answer questions he didn't want to answer.
The disadvantage? If 1 side turns up, shows a willingness to be cross-examined by the other side and the Judge, and the other side doesn't, the former nearly always win.
Because they are willing to to go before a Court to say what they believe. While the other hides.
That is America. And indeed any Civilised Society. Which that ar5ewipe has already been told.
1. Been a Trial as to whether there was a sexual assault. Trump refused to show up, and just sent a Video, thereby ensuring he could not be cross-examined. He lost
2. He has been recorded at election rallies, on national TV, denying the assault and saying she is a liar
3. She is suing him for defamation
4. He is trying to deny 3, by trying to assert evidence that he failed to do in 1 above, and for which a Judge has already ruled. He also failed to appeal that Ruling.
Trump has an amazing ability to fool most of the people most of the time.
But what he does not possess is the ability to fool all of the people all of the time. No-one does.
America deserves better than a choice between a liar/sexual predator and a buffoon
The worrying thing it, even though he hangs himself every time anyone gives him rope.
A lot of American public are just as thick/thicker than him and will still vote for him.
All three I'm guessing.

Welp! And he defamed her AGAIN while the jury was deliberating. If I was @ejeancarroll I’d take that imp right back to court. She alone could bankrupt that criminal and save all of us from his desired dictatorship. He just can’t stop himself.
