Trump rants about ‘rape gangs, drug lords and mental institutions’ after Zelensky debacle

Trump took to his Truth Social platform Sunday evening for his first comments on the Russia-Ukraine war since the president and Vice President JD Vance accused the Ukrainian leader of “gambling with World War III” in a widely criticized at the White House press conference on Friday.

“We should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our Country - So that we don’t end up like Europe!,” he wrote.

In what world is the key word in a sentence "migrant rape gangs"? Anyone who believes that people should give a tinker's about "good" rapists (like people freed from Romania) and "bad" rapists, as opposed to all rapists deserves contempt.

The USA has always been full of migrants. Because, with the exception of Native Americans, that is everybody.

You can believe America is the greatest country in the World precisely because of its ethnic diversity. Or you can believe that America is fatally flawed because of that ethnic diversity.

But to believe that what will "Make America Great Again" is to concentrate on the "right" kind of immigrants is delusional.

Trump unveils plan to sell migrants 'Gold Card' visas for $5 MILLION

The president said the card would replace the current EB-2 visa program and would cost about $5 million dollars per person.

'We're going to be selling a gold card. You have a green card. This is a gold card,' Trump said to reporters in the Oval Office.

He described the new 'gold card' program as 'green card privileges plus' that would offer recipients a 'route to citizenship' in the United States.

'They'll be wealthy and they'll be successful, and they'll be spending a lot of money and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people, and we think it's going to be extremely successful,' he said, boasting that it had 'never been done before.'

He previewed the program as ready to launch in 'two weeks.'

The extremely wealthy have never paid "a lot of tax". and never will. They employ people to teach them legal (and sometimes illegal) ways of avoiding paying tax.

If anybody thinks President Trump believes that, remember this. Trump is an enormously wealthy man. And does not pay tax.

Surely this is supposed to be the EB-5. EB-2 is an employment visa based on skills afaik.

EDIT: Never mind i googled it. It is supposed to be EB-5.

For anybody interested in this sort of thing, there is also an EB-1, commonly referred to as the "Einstein Visa". Given to various Nobel Prize Winners, and a certain Melania Trump-no public detail as to what her "extraordinary skill" was...

    We could have a guess.
Maybe similar to those displayed by Stormy Daniels for many years?

And obviously none of these people will get involved with drugs, and never rape or murder anyone.

Defiant but tactful Zelenskyy seeks to move on from White House fiasco

A defiant but tactful Volodymyr Zelenskyy refused to apologise to Donald Trump after Friday’s spat in the White House, and declared that the row in the Oval Office “did not bring anything positive” to peace for Ukraine.

Speaking to journalists only in Ukrainian at the end of a two-day visit to the UK, the Ukrainian president said that when such delicate negotiations are held in public “foes can take advantage of them” though he said he hoped the row would eventually pass.

Though the Ukrainian leader said there had been no communications at his level with the White House since the meeting, a deal for the US to jointly exploit minerals in his country was ready to be signed.

Zelenskyy would not say whether he believed he had been ambushed when he was berated by the US president and the vice-president, JD Vance, and insisted he would talk to Trump again if “invited to solve the real issues”.

Not really. They get a lot of money from various places.

Where they differ from us normal people is how they get to keep their money.

In 2020, Mr & Mrs Trump's declared income was $78 million. And Federal Tax paid? Minus $5 million. That's right-he is owed money to set against future monies.

Trump (and many other super-rich people, of all political persuasions) always come out with the same old rubbish.

So-when Trump says it was "unprecedented" for a President's Tax returns to be published without his consent, that is true. Simply because every other modern President has agreed to do it voluntarily.

When he says he has paid lots of "state taxes", of course he has. If he has, say, $30 million a year he has successfully avoided paying tax on, he is going to spend it on himself instead of giving it to the taxman. And the US equivalent of VAT is a "State tax".

Paying 10% tax on money that should have gone entirely to the Country? How noble :)
