Cheltenham Festival 2025 tips: AI names five best bets including 'near-certain favourite'
The 2025 Cheltenham Festival kicks off next Tuesday, with four days of top class racing taking place at the famous Prestbury Park in the Cotswolds.
The bookies are already fearing a seven-figure payout on the opening day as punters look set to pile cash on favourites Kopek Des Bordes (Supreme Novices' Hurdle), Majborough (Arkle Novices' Chase) and Constitution Hill (Champion Hurdle).
We asked: "Name the five horses with the best chances of winning at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival."
It responded by saying: "Based on their current form, training backgrounds, and betting odds leading up to the festival, the five horses with the best chance of winning at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival are Kopek Des Bordes, Majborough, Constitution Hill, Jonbon, and Galopin Des Champs."
Expanding on the reasons why the five are so strongly fancied, it added:
1. Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.
Kopek Des Bordes: This five-year-old trained by Willie Mullins has shown impressive form, remaining unbeaten in three starts under rules. He won a Grade 1 novice hurdle at Leopardstown by a significant margin, making him a strong favorite for this race.
2. Arkle Chase.
Majborough: Following the withdrawal of Sir Gino, Majborough has become the new favorite for this novice chase. Trained by Willie Mullins, he has demonstrated clear form leading up to this race and is expected to perform well against his rivals.
3. Champion Hurdle.
Constitution Hill: Widely regarded as one of the best hurdlers in recent history, Constitution Hill has an unbeaten record across eleven hurdle races. His consistent performances make him a near-certain favourite for this prestigious event.
4. Champion Chase.
Jonbon: With twelve wins from fourteen chase starts, Jonbon has proven himself time and again despite some earlier inconsistencies. His recent victories suggest he is well-prepared to take on this challenging race.
5. Gold Cup.
Galopin Des Champs: The reigning champion who won both the Gold Cup in 2023 and 2024 is aiming for a historic third consecutive win. His performance in previous races makes him a formidable contender for this year’s Gold Cup.
I don't think you needed AI to pick those five out...

I think I am retiring for the day after one bet, after having a couple of hundred on Myretown. Skybet are really stingy on their prices. I decided to bet it last minute. I was sat here watching the telly, and the odds were 13/2. The odds didnt move. The SP was 13/2. Yet I got 11/2 from Skybet. Had I decided earlier I would have gone elsewhere. £200 down the drain.

That seems strange especially as the SP was 13/2.
But well done anyway. </blockquote
I caved. Did a roll up on some of the short prices. Lossiemouth, and Constitution Hill, today. Ballyburn, and Jonbon, tomorrow. Galopin Des Champs, Friday.

Lossiemouth SP 4/6, they gave me 1/2. Going elsewhere if I have another bet. Skybet is just easy, I can have a bet using the funds in my poker account. Going elsewhere means making a deposit. But I will.

Never take a price on skybet in a race where they are offering extra places on the race.
Everyday there is live racing on terrestrial TV sky have offered a race where you get your money back if your horse is placed. Not for the Cheltenham festival though. Poor that from Sky Bet.
Thought the Champion hurdle was one of the best horse races I've ever seen. Fantastic entertainment and makes me smile thinking of all the mug punters who done their money on this.
