Chelsea report £128.4m profit after selling women’s side to themselves.
Chelsea appear to have complied with the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) through player sales by selling the women’s team to the club’s parent company. Chelsea announced they had turned last year’s pre-tax loss of £90.1m into a pre-tax profit of £128.4m for the financial year ending 30 June 2024.
The results were filed at Companies House by Chelsea FC Holdings Limited and represent a significant shift after heavy losses under the ownership of Clearlake Capital and Todd Boehly in previous years.
Although Chelsea’s revenue dipped to £468.5m after another season out of the Champions League for the men’s team, they said their financial picture “benefited from increased profit on disposal of player registrations and repositioning of Chelsea Football Club Women Ltd”.
Liverpool 1-0 Everton: PGMOL acknowledges James Tarkowski should have been sent off for foul on Alexis Mac Allister.
PGMOL acknowledges Everton defender James Tarkowski should have been sent off for his tackle on Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister, Sky Sports News understands.
Tarkowski met the leg of Mac Allister high and with force when following through on a tackle in which he first won the ball during Everton's 1-0 defeat at Anfield.
The challenge was deemed reckless and he was given a yellow card, with the challenge then reviewed by VAR.
PGMOL are understood to agree that the challenge saw Tarkowski clearly play the ball initially. However, the nature of the follow-through met the threshold for serious foul play.
Referee Sam Barrott felt the challenge was reckless in real time and the VAR then checked that on-field decision of a yellow card, deeming the referee's call was not a clear and obvious error.
However, the view of PGMOL is that a review should have been recommended and ultimately the original decision overturned.
I mean yes this could be the day their relegation is confirmed but first we need to hope for a wolves win at Ipswich. Then if southampton lose on sunday the celebrations can begin. Winni is planning to attend the Wolves game on saturday.
@Doubleme St Totteringham Day isn't about Southampton but between Arsenal and Tottenham, hence the Totteringham reference.
St. Totteringham's Day.
Saint Totteringham's Day is a concept created in 2002 and first published on the fan website arseweb.com. It is the day when Arsenal have gathered sufficient points to be mathematically assured to finish ahead of Tottenham in the league table.

Well explained, as @Doubleme does not appear to have much understanding of football, his sole interest appears to be schadenfreude towards one particular team.
the picture had winni the pooh so thought it was aimed at me mentioned totenham who play southampton next, and had the word saint in it when the southampton lot called themselves the saints its an easy assumption from me therefore.
anyway its on the brink of being confirmed, I mean hypothetically if southampton drew tomorrow and then won every game by huge margins, and wolves lost every game by huge margins then they could stay up.
so nothing but a spurs win tomorrow gaurentees the southampton relegation but its pretty much assured, we just want to confirm it now so the celebrations can begin.
in other news I have now found a new AI that does not try to limit me for winni pictures people maybe have noticed a slight difference in winni pictures of late?
so my posts in this thread as we hope southampton set a new record will have ai winni pics generated from the new AI.
An American journalists match report of last night's game, it is actually a Facebook parody page but you can imagine American sports reporters actually writing something like this, especially if you read it in an American accent. Go USA...
