Tottenham fears over Bodo/Glimt artificial pitch revealed – Lesson from Tamworth FC.
Bodø/Glimt's home stadium, the Aspmyra Stadion, holds less than 10,000 fans, but supporters sit close to the pitch and create a hostile atmosphere for their opponents. Not only that, but the pitch is made from artificial grass, something that Tottenham's players will not be used to.
I have a simple rule. I never watch Arsenal (except v Spurs) unless they are already losing 5-0. But, during the build-up I watched as some delusional Gooner claimed that Arsenal will win things, and never be like Spurs.
Being "Spurs-y" seems to be a moveable feast. But normally involves coming close, and then not winning.
Since 2000, Arsenal have played in the Champions League 19 times. Despite only being the Premier League Champions 2 times (2002 & 2004). And, have been impressive to a point. Reaching the last 16 on 16 of those 19 times. And then it all goes wrong.
Last 16. Won 8, lost 8. Last 8. Won 3. Lost 5. Semi-Final. Won 1. Lost 2. Final. Won 0. Lost 1.

The Spanish guy at arsenal says they were 100% the best team in the CL....erm..i know the fans are deluded but you would think the manager would have a semblance of sense..Cookoo
He's got next season before the fans turn on him although compared to where we were before he came in and the players he inherited, I personally think he's done a great job getting us to be genuine contenders again.
Well its being harsh recently with thousands of messages and tags on facebook all taunting me saying "were not the worst of all time" to the drunken southampton fans turning up outside my flat in the early hours signing at the top of their voice "were not the worst, were not the worst, were not the worst of all time" and their usual oh when the saints come marching in nonsense. I have heard there have being parades and an open top bus passing through southampton with confetti raining down and fireworks and the whole town turning out.
All behind a giant banner saying "not the worst of all time" I also heard some southampton fans drove all the way up to derby to taunt people over there (talk about punching down) and there was a massive brawl because of this between southampton and derby fans.
I mean it saddens me they get this small moment of glory but then if this is literally the bar for achievement now how far has their team fallen you just got to laugh I guess.
They are celebrating not been the worst team of all time that is there bar for celebration now. This is literally the sort of thing from a cartoon, if thats what they celebrate meh, I am hardly devestated their team is still relegated and still ranks amongst one of the worst teams to ever play in the premiership.
Pardew has found himself travelling Europe in the years after his Palace sacking, which he could have few complaints about. The run to the FA Cup final certainly covered for major cracks elsewhere. By the time he was dismissed in December 2016 his side had won only six matches of 36 played in the calendar year.

He and the Baggies mutually parted company after they had gone ten games without a win, were on a run of eight successive defeats and sat bottom of the Premier League en route to relegation. It would be Pardew's final gig as a manager on home soil.

He took charge of eight league games, winning one, before play was halted in the Netherlands by the Covid pandemic. That wasn't before the training ground was invaded by the club's ultras who demanded answers.
The ex-Palace boss saw his contract come to an end shortly after lockdown began.
In November 2020 he headed to Bulgaria, where he initially became an аdviser on football matters to the owners of CSKA Sofia. In April 2022 Pardew took charge of the first team following the resignation of the manager Stoycho Mladenov, but struggled for results.
In just his second game in charge CSKA were battered 5-0 by Ludogorets Razgrad - the biggest defeat of their season. He later left after a racist incident which saw CSKA fans throw bananas at their own players.
Pardew's most recent job took him to Greece where he was appointed as the new manager of Greek Super League club Aris Thessaloniki, replacing Germán Burgos in September 2022. He signed a one-year contract with the option to extend for a further year, but was gone by February. Since then he's featured as a regular pundit on talkSPORT.
His travels represent a major shift from the man who Carlo Ancelotti claimed should replace Roy Hodgson as England manager after Euro 2016. “If England wanted an English manager after Hodgson, then Pardew is really good and I think he is the best option to be manager of the national team. I think he is the best candidate," said the five-time Champions League winner.
