congrats on the nice run sir, long may it continue. do you see yourself playing poker as a main source of income for the forseeable future? & if you were starting out now do you think you would view it as a viable career choice?

It will hopefully be my main income source for the forseeable future. I have always been intereested in business too, so i wouldnt be suprised if i branch off in that direction either as well as or instead of poker.

The days kind of knowing what you are doing and getting rich off it are obviously long gone, but if you have a good track record over a large sample, enough £ in savings and a good work ethic I dont see why it can't be a valid career choice. I do think people should be very careful when considering whether to go pro. I never saw poker as a valid career choice when I started playing, it was a hobby, same as everyone when they start I guess. It was only when I was making more than my day job that I considered it an option.

I think there will always be money to be made for those willing to work hard enough. Trends change, different game become popular and new games are created - as long as you are keeping on top of it you have a good chance of succeeding long term IMO
