All players have to opt in now with a screenshot, is this a change at sky's end?

The imminent GDPR affects how all businesses use personal data they hold, & is far-ranging & complex, but Sharkscope does not display any personal data as such, it uses aliases. So whether the change is GDPR-related I have no idea. Somehow, I doubt it.
The change applies, as far as I am aware, to ALL players on ALL sites.
"Use the form below to enter your (insert name of Site) screen name and upload a screenshot of you logged into (insert name of Site) with your screen name visible".
Shame, I enjoyed being a nosey ****
Any business which holds & uses data on an individual must now seek "reconsent" as to how they use that Data, & in particular, by which means (if any) they are allowed to contact you. (Text, Voicecall, SMS, e-Mail, post).
Anyone with any online gaming account with any Company should by now have received a re-consent request by now. In fact, it's not just Online Gaming, it is right across the board.
Here's GDPR according to Wiki;

I guess thats a tenner a month saved.
Incidentally, Sky Poker made some changes recently as part of their overall plan to ensure they were GDPR-compliant, as per this thread started by @Sky_SamT -

At least now people will have to find out how bad I am by playing a few hands with me first
If I search a player who has played 1k+ games and never been in the black I can assume he/she is making a lot of losing play's or playing to face up. I always initially tag based on scope then adjust my notes/tag when I have played a number of hands against them.

At present, THM appears to be unchanged.

Shame about the sharkscope thing. I was thoroughly enjoying being nosy.
I would expect anonymised or pseudonymised data using aliases to be fine. There's also an argument to be had whether lobby info is in the public domain.
So different parties view it differently, instead of having a clear, unambiguous line. Much of the GC stuff is phrased vaguely, too.
