    Skeg,

Awesome work, I found the tables much softer today than yesterday, so a nice little evening play.

Nice to see you are doing the bankrol building thing the correct way. Pick one type of game, develop as a player, play the same game day in/day out and win.

Looking forward to seeing how much your first month earns you. Pity you started on the 3rd as we could have had a little competition.

One bit of advice if I may, only consdider moving up when you are totally comfortable thinking losing a few but ins in a row (just to plan for worst case scenario) but you seem to be finding 4nl loleasy, so keep crushing.

Remember i play at titan poker, not on sky :P i did actually play a freeroll earlier on at sky with some points i had earned but i still had connection problems etc, so no luck there lol.

Thanks very much though, i have read a few online tutorials about how to play online poker, especially about bankroll management as i feel that is the most important thing, like you said it is easy to lose a few buy ins with bad beats etc. And of course, dohhhh's blog thing on this about how to play NL4 helped me a lot as well, so if you're reading this, thanks! haha.

I doubt i will keep making £45+ a week, just seems like a **** lot of money for playing a few hours of NL4 every day lol. If i make £15 a week from now on, i'd be happy with that.

I might not move up to playing NL10 straight away when i have 25 buy ins for it, i'd be more comfortable after reading a few blogs etc about how to play that level and what to expect from it, so if anyone has any advice for nl10, feel free to say :) but it will be a while yet until i reach the 25-30 buy in mark for that haha.

Maybe we can do a competition next month? ;)

Oh right, didnt realised you were playing on ipoker, I used to play there too before I saw the light with Sky Poker.

£45 a week at 4nl is certainly doable long term, one of the 4nl regs (might have moved to 10nl now - not sure) is rumoured to have cleared £750 in one month, albeit with crazy hours grinding.

Will consider doing a challenge next month, perhaps nothing in detail, but maybe il message you near and of March and see if we can have an informal compy and just check progress every 7 days or so.

When I get a bit better and can play 7 or 8 tables comfortably I will aim for a £300 month, all about the learning curve right now.

Haha, any idea who it was? Wouldn't mind asking them for some advice if they're that good at 4nl lol.

And yeah, just message me near the end of the month if you want :)

Most tables i can manage is 5 atm, can't fit more than 6 on my laptop screen so i think 5 will be my maximum lol.

Off to do another session right now, will post results when i'm done.

Well that was one of the most unbelievable sessions i have had yet. Bad beat after bad beat to go down £15, and then a miracle happened, won 3 big pots in the space of 15 minutes on the same table to get my money back plus a little bit extra lol.

Session started off quite badly when this happened:

Seat 1: cobobandit (£5.99 in chips)
    Seat 3: JACPOP14 (£7.97 in chips)
Seat 5: Me (£4.00 in chips)
    Seat 6: Farida840 (£4.00 in chips)
Seat 8: bwargle (£0.00 in chips)
    Seat 10: fudge382 (£5.00 in chips)

    cobobandit: SB £0.02
    JACPOP14: BB £0.04

    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    Dealt to Me [Ad Ks]

    Me: Raise To £0.16
    fudge382: Raise To £0.54
    cobobandit: Fold
    JACPOP14: Call £0.50
    Me: Call £0.38

    *** FLOP *** [2h As 9c]

    JACPOP14: Bet £1.64

    Me: shows [Ad Ks] (Pair)

    *** SUMMARY ***

    JACPOP14: wins £11.09

Twice in the space of 5 minutes, the same guy on the same table rivered a 4 against me for a straight to make me lose a buy-in lol. Worst thing was that he was laughing at me etc in the chatbox, never want to speak ill of anyone but he was an absolute **** haha.

But i got my revenge on him with this absolute belter of a hand:

Seat 1: cobobandit (£2.19 in chips)
    Seat 3: JACPOP14 (£10.22 in chips)
Seat 5: Me (£9.45 in chips)
    Seat 6: Farida840 (£4.00 in chips)
Seat 8: ilinskii (£1.91 in chips)
    Seat 10: fudge382 (£5.02 in chips)

    *** TURN *** [10h]

    JACPOP14: Bet £1.74
    Me: Call £1.74

    *** RIVER *** [5h]

    JACPOP14: Bet £7.76
    Me: (Allin) £6.99

    *** SHOW DOWN ***

JACPOP14: shows [10c Qc] (Two pair)
Me: shows [7h 6h] (Straight flush)

    *** SUMMARY ***
    Total pot £18.97 Rake £1.00
    JACPOP14: wins £0.77
    Me: wins £18.20

Guess what he did after that hand? Had the cheek to call me a donk and then left the table in a huff probably, was my turn to laugh at him haha.

I was still about £6 down at that point, then a couple of minutes later i won another big pot with aces:

Seat 1: cobobandit (£6.60 in chips)
Seat 3: krasata (£5.07 in chips)
Seat 5: Me (£4.17 in chips)
    Seat 6: Farida840 (£5.03 in chips)

    krasata: Fold
    Me: Raise To £3.00
    Farida840: Fold
    cobobandit: Raise To £6.60
    Me: (Allin) £1.17

    *** FLOP *** [4c Ad Jh]

    *** TURN *** [9d]

    *** RIVER *** [10c]

    *** SHOW DOWN ***

    cobobandit: shows [Kc Ks] (Pair)

    *** SUMMARY ***
    Total pot £11.62 Rake £0.65
    cobobandit: wins £2.43

After all that, my profit for the session was only a measly 58p, can you believe that!? hahaha.

    Great fun though, loved it!

Not a bad day overall then, £9.02 total profit for the day, means my bankroll is now over the £200 mark at £204.33! Plus i only need 36 more points needed for another £3.35 cash bonus so i will probably get that tomorrow :)

    Goodnight!

Not the best of sessions, was a bit frustrating at times when i was raising with a good hand and getting called by almost everyone who had **** lol.

    Session summary:

    4 tables, 368 hands, losses of 45p, £2.35, 70p and 74p.

Oh well, at least i got my £3.35 cash bonus for accumulating points, so broke even overall really.

I had a freeroll tournament tonight, done well in it just missed the cash, coming 206th out of 1133. Not bad for my first online tourny lol.

After the tourny, i played some cash games, went really well to start off with, i got my money back i had lost from the previous session (£4 ish) and i was up about £6 or so after being patient, grinding away and being rewarded for it until one hand where i had aces, got it all in ahead on the flop v jacks and ace king, the turn was a jack so lost £10 in that one hand, ouch it hurt i have to admit hahaha.

    Session summary:

2 hours, 4 tables, 520 hands, profits of £5.50, £1.72 and £1.01. One loss of £3.02. Total profit for the session was: £5.21

Decided to play a little blackjack again after that hand happened, to let off some steam and try and compose myself again lol, ended up winning another £30! Unbelievable, i'm more luckier at blackjack than **** poker hahaha.

So overall, i just about broke even playing poker today (too tired to calculate my exact profit or loss for today lol), but the £30 winnings from blackjack will go into my bankroll which at the end of today currently stands at: £235.02

You seem to do well at the poker mate but if i was you i would keep off the blackjack or any other gambling games because they could wipe you out in no time if you start chasing losses

Yeah i know lol, i only spend a couple of quid on blackjack every now and again, just for a bit of fun to let off some steam when i've had a bad session or whatever lol. I don't play it to chase losses or anything, it's just something i enjoy doing since saturday when i was at a casino for the first time lol.

I have no words to describe the session I just had to be honest, absolutely astonishing it was haha. Started off quite well, was up about £2 or so before i lost one BI with a rivered flush which incidentally gave the oppo a full house lol. Then i started grinding away again, went back up to about £4 profit, and had another bad beat to lose it again, keep this pattern going for the next hour or so and that's what the first hour of my session was like hahaha.

Second hour, an absolute maniac joined one of my tables, every hand he was raising to about 48-52p (12-13x the bb) and shoving at every opportunity, he doubled up about 5 times by getting lucky so his chipstack was £30 at one point, i was just waiting and waiting for a premium hand so i could take all his money and then i get aces in the big blind, he is first to act and what does he do?

Unbelievable, i get dealt aces and for the very first time since he sits down he decided to fold.. how unlucky am i? i was getting excited about a potentinal £11 double up but no he had to fold and to make matters worse i ended up having to fold my aces hahaha.

After that though it started getting a bit better for me, i did manage to win a few medium sized pots and a big one with kings v queens to get my profit up to about £10 for the session. Then i lost a lot on this hand, worst bad beat i've ever had to deal with lol:

Ouch, got to admit it hurt a bit, 1% chance of winning and he somehow gets there. But after 5 or so minutes i found the funny side to it lol.

At the end of today, my bankroll is currently at: £242.74

I'll take that, still a decent profit of about £4ish for this session, brilliant fun though lol.

    Good progress.

I advise that when you get dealt aces, or any other hand for that matter. You should not be getting ideas about stacking somebody. You should be getting ideas about making the right decision, always be making the right decision. Sometimes we can stack off and win with aces - great thats what we want. But sometimes the best decision might be to press the fold button if it becomes clear we are beat.

Yes i know, but in this example the villian was shoving and raising every single hand pre flop with any 2 cards for about 40-50 hands in a row since he sat down so i was hoping he would do it when i got dealt the aces haha. Unfortunately he folded and i ended up having to fold the aces anyway to a different player lol.

Not doing a session this afternoon, today is football day lol, might do one tonight if i am not busy :)

Mazzam66 was an absolute maniac, doing this sort of thing with any 2 cards so i was confident I was ahead when the money went in on the flop.. gross turn though, then a brilliant river, i absolutely love poker haha.

    Session summary:

5 tables, profits of £1.59, £2.40 and £6.06. 2 losses of £2.61 and 48p. Total profit for the session: £6.96

I also got another £3.35 bonus for accumulating points, so total profit plus that = £10.31.

Over the £250 mark now, brilliant! Got enough buy-ins to play nl10 but i'm not sure if i'm ready yet lol.
