     chin up mate  always nice to have a challenge...isn't it? lol

    re that aj dym hand above, no you don't HAVE TO call,you chose to.
    personally I prefer a push with 52 than a call here with aj,as once you call you are only giving yourself 1 chance of winning.
    yes you lose 300 chips but you still have almost  2000 left to play with.
    calling allins is never a good play especially on the bubble, and I only call if it's my only option or I have a good read on that player.
    pushing with any 2 is a much better line to take,imo
    it's the same playing ace rag,only play them if you HAVE to,not through choice.

    ah right ok. I aint playing them anymore now anyway.....I struggle to get used to the difference in the style of play between them and mtts where that would have been a snap call. I there is one man who knows his dyms then its you mate!! Will take that into consideration if I decide to play them again the future

    Played a bit of 4nl last night and it was the first time in a long time that I finished the evening with more than I started.....was proper boring though!!! haha
    I played 2 tables....short stacking both. Lost over a quid AQ<AK on an ace high flop but managed to claw a bit back.

    I may play some £1 HU tonight as well as some more 4nl. It is horrible sat on a table knowing 1 cooler/mistake and I'm broke lol

    Start BR (since I stopped the DYMs) = £3.76
    Current = £4.19

    This weekend has the potential to bust me......drunken poker :)

    NOTE TO SELF (and others) : WHEN GARYQQQ GIVES ADVICE, DO NOT IGNORE IT!!!!

    Ok gary.....I finally took your advice and played some HU...I have more than doubled my roll in an hour.

    Played 5 Won 5...........beginners luck I know, and I know there is no way of maintaining that win rate but it has given me some confidence (MUCH NEEDED!!)

    Thats me done for the night.............pretty wasted!!

    Played quite a few HU tonight...........don't know why I put them off for so long, guess it was just a confidence issue. TBF there are quite a few good players, I had some great games and really enjoyed them.

    Obv didn't keep up the great run....had a best of 3 with some guy/gal who pretty much had me in their pocket......made a note and won't be playing them again.

    Played some 4nl on the side which wasn't very enjoyable. I think to get the best out of 4nl you need to be 4+ tabling or it is seriously boring with little or no reward..........I ended up slightly down tbh,

    So, results.........

    The 4nl........not sure

    £1 HU: Played 29

    W18
    L11

    BR = £8.29

    Retiring to my chamber now.......intoxicated and tired!

    That dym hand should be a fold I would think

    99 hand is fine imo

    ty for the words of encouragement.

    Yeah grantorino, dev explained to me why it should be a fold.......think hands like that were the reason I wasn't doing very well in the dyms.

    Plan for today is prob some more HU, maybe some 4nl and some freerolls. I wish there were more mtts on here for a 1 quid BI........I miss mtts!!

    First of all I need food then a SSS (****,shower,shave).......feeling rather delicate!

    Think I am going to leave 4nl for a while..........lost a couple of big pots, also find it hard to play well knowing one bad hand could break me.

    The HU is going quite well.....although not sure what a good ROI is for these???

    So far today I have played 11..... W8 L3

    So total HU since I started yesterday......Played 40....W26 L14. Is this an acceptable ROI or should I be looking to improve??

    Due to a poor 4nl session I'm down slightly today.

    BR = £6.68

    Gonna chill and play the freeroll then play some more HU later. No more 4nl unless my BR improves

    Hey Waller just scoped your roi for them 40 games is 23.8% which is really good probably quite a bit above what could be expected long term even at the micro stakes hu as far as i know 10-125 is considered really good at faster structured HU but best ask someone who knows more about this stuff lol. Good read btw maybe see you hu when you build up the roll.

    Ah right, ty. I don't expect to keep that win rate up then..as long as I don't drop below 10% I will be happy. The way I look at things is if my br is going up thats good and if it's not thats bad haha.

    Two more things......

    1. Yeah I hope I do build up the roll.
    2. If I do then I WILL NOT see you HU if I can help it..........I read your diary and can see that you are one to avoid!!

    Keep up the good work with your diary.....I'm one of those who reads them but rarely posts

    23.8% is sustainable against randoms in the £1.05s at standard speed, I was making about that while I was in them Feb/March. ROI will lower in faster games. Good luck.

    I'm playing the speed ones. 1500 and 5 min blinds so it will prob drop......I will go on a losing streak at sometime, just not until I can afford one I hope!!

    Hi W for what it's worth in the dym the AJ with csi of 5 is a deffo call in my opinion. You will blind yourself out waiting in dym's otherwise. Remember you we're ahead going into the board. Why not give yourself a nice break for a month or so until you really fancy playing.

    You should do pretty well in those, structure is still pretty good. Avoid turbo/hyper for now. Fingers crossed you avoid a downswing at this crucial stage.

    There are a few winning regs in those games, work out who they are asap then avoid them.
