December was a really good month I ended up withdrawing over 1.1k from my account.
And still have a fantastic bankroll for the levels I play at.
It feels like I mostly played cash during December, but got a fair few mtt's in as well.
For some reason I don't feel like playing much cash at the moment and through out this month expect to be playing mostly MTT's.
The 2 graphs below, (thanks Ben!) are my sharkscope since I started on sky. The 2ndgrpah is Setp - Present.
My MTT game has improved a lot, I started making profits from MTT's about half way through this year.
The graphs below do not include the Christmas cracker where I won £300, for some reason scope didn't pick it up, and the the big at the end where it looks like a ski slope was my main event entry from last Sunday, which I satted into through a free roll.
I am looking at playing 100 games at £5/ £10 bi level, probably more geared towards the 10 quidder bi's.
Just looked at these, neither graph looks that impressive. . Everyone keeps saying I should be playing bigger games, so that's what i'm going 2 be doing over this month. I will still play low stake games, but also throw in bigger bi's aswell.
Despite these graphs looking bad my ROI from MTTs, from June/July - present is really decent, looking to maintain that.
Went off cash a bit, not that I lost or went on a downswing, just don't have much of an urge to play cash right now. So decided it was a good time to give MTT's a good go.
My goal for this year with MTTs, is to have 2k profit as shown on SS by some point this year.
1st one the hand played itself really, I had a set of 3's and opponent had a straight flush draw from the flop. He played it really passive. Opponent has 4s6s, flop was 3s5s x. I was on the button it checked round to me, I bet quite big, opponent just called. Turn was a brick, I bet again to set it up to ship the river. Opponent just called again.
River was a 7, all flush draws had missed. Opponent checked. Only draw that came in was 46. I was thinking he could have that, tho 46 os, never putting him on a flush draw. I don't know if the river was a check behind for me. It's hard for anything worse than a set of 3s to call, I suppose. I shoved. Don't know if this is a check behind?
The rest, was just a lot of small pots from spew.
I've done a fair bit of moaning over the last 2 weeks. Must say I have ran pretty bad in MTT's, but still we all know it's just part of the game. Going forward no more moaning about bad beats, totally pointless in fairness!
I wasn't really "bankrolled" to play 50nl, so wont be doing that again in a hurry until I've built up enough of a roll to justify playing it.
I think the biggest thing is I was sitting down at 1/2 tables, and the whole thing with that is I get bored and probably play to many hands. With a bankroll of £2.5k at least you can quite comfortably 4 / 5 table. Not that I think you need that amount of bi's it's more psychological, as in if you lose it doesn't really matter. But if you lose from a smaller bankroll, then it's more of a "hit".
I've withdrawn quite a lot last month and this month, it was an expensive month, tax to be paid, and my car broke down at the start of the week, which was another £220 to get fixed.
I think for the time being i'm not going to withdraw money, and build up to about £1500-£2k of a "bankroll".
I say that, but things change all the time (in poker) so we will see!

Good run, ul cocker.
Next time!
No idea what 2014 will hold.
Doubt i'll be playing as much in the first few months of the NY.
Happy New Year to everyone.
Festitivities out of the way, back to the real world!
Played the TOTP game last night, was really fun as always.
I ended up going out 6th, got it in pre flop with the worst hand and lost
Started a freeroll thread, to try and show that even with little or no bankroll any player could soon have a bankroll to play with after a month.
Outside of that will be mostly playing MTT's this month.

Just read James Atkin's review of 2013 fascinating stuff!
http://www.atkinator.net/2013/12/2013-in-review.html
This really is an inspiration and will use it as motivation for mtts in 2014.
Before I read this I was struggling to have much much motivation, but this has done the job.
Goals for 2014 (MTTs)
-Play more bigger bi games
-Show a profit of 2k on Sharkscope
-Spend more time studying to improve*
* up to now, I've never really "studied" much, outside of looking at hand histories/ talking over hands with friends.
Any one recommend anything else?
When playing it will mostly be playing games like the Monday night DTD games, and orfie on a Friday night.
The last couple of days, I've not really been enjoying it, probably due to playing so much last month.
On Saturday I was looking at getting people to buy a % in me for MTTs, i'm going to put that on hold till the end of the month.
This month I just want to take it easy on the poker, and when playing just play for fun.
Last month was a really good month, it was my record month for profit on the site a wee break will hopefully work wonders.
I've noticed a lot of mistakes I've been making in MTT's, hopefully now i can plug those leaks!
I won't really be posting much in this thread over the next month, but will be back in Febuary.
Good luck everyone at the tables!
Nice hand sir wp ! :-)
Well done on winning the dtd games last night, very well played.
Seem to be more interested in HU games, than 6 max cash or MTT's at the minute
Queen on the river.
I never moan about poker, but it's so annoying right now, every single time i'm running deep in anything, I get bumped out.
I know it happens, but it's happening all the time at the moment.
Get it all in preflop versus kings for a 40k pot, opponent has me covered by a few hundred.
First card out was a K, this was pot was for 2nd chip lead. Chip leader had 52k.
Seems this stuff is happening all the time in MTT's just now, I've never had such a bad run in MTT's before, no idea how to shake it off!

Looking for some thoughts on these 2 hands,

So no more moaning, and just get on with it.
