I know we've seen a lot of your history from the "duckumentary" but this added detail on the poker side of your life has been a fascinating read and a worthy addition to this diary. Posted by FCHD
Thanks Mr FCHD.
Jac's questions were really teasing me, & I had that mood on me yesterday, I just wanted to write some stuff down.
I'll probably finish answering his questions bit by bit, each day or every few days, as & when time, & the mood, takes me.
Not today though, things to dooooooooo
Hope you enjoy the rest of the holiday, & the weather is not too bad down there in the deepest West Country.
Fun day yesterday, but made several bad mistakes, just concentration (lack of) really.
Ran bad in the £11ers, but just variance, I've run generally well in them previously.
Lost an £11er on the very first hand, ugh, when I got the lot in pre against a "new" name to me. I had A-A-J-J (DS) - not the best Aces, but too good to let go of, or so I thought. On their backs, my man showed the improbable A-J-4-3, so I had him locked up pretty much on the high, but he was freerolling the Low, so I'll take that.
No low came, which was good, but the 4 & 3 arrived to give him 2 pairs, enough to bust me. Whoops.
A lot of people were running their mouths in the chat box, but it was Xmas Day, & many folks had enjoyed a sherry or two, so understandable I suppose.
When I totted up at the end, I was quite pleased with another £15 in the kitty, as I don't think I played too good overall.
No, or very little, play for the next few days, as I have a guest at home, & I'm working on Saturday, doing the Show with Anna.
We were graced by a Royal Visit on the PLO8 tables yesterday - goodylad21.
He earns fortunes on the NLH DYM's I gather, but decided to pay us a visit & splash around for a few games. Think he did OK, & made a profit. Inadvertently, he ruffled a feather or two, too.....
After winning 3 of 4, I think, he hit & run on us, the scoundrel, making the excuse that he wanted to rail the £5-£10 game that ran overnight. I had a quick peek at the table, plenty of money in play, & the Waiting List was SEVEN players! They must have thought I was playing.
In Response to Re: Can an old dog learn new tricks? : Thanks Mr FCHD.

Yes, weather not too bad comparitively speaking down here in Cornwall. Yes. there's been plenty of rain and a few trees have come down, but nothing really compared to the seasons seen in counties further east.
Short session last night, as I had company, but I rattled throgh 16 games in around 2 hours.
No £11 games ran, so it was £5.50 all the way, woo-woo.
First 2 games I was controlling the table like a champ, plenty of chips, good discipline, & bossing them. I lost both, lol.
In both cases, the same opponent bought about my downfall.
He's a regular, & a fearsome opponent, so I'm always wary of him. He plays the exact polar opposite of me. I play very few hands, sometimes just 3 or 4, rarely more than 8 or 9, per DYM. He plays, literally, EVERY hand. Limps in, someone raises, Call, da de da. Each to their own, 100 ways to skin a dog.
Anyway, in both cases, he & I had 75% of the chips.
I find the Aces, & almost fold them, but decided to play them, & pot it. He flats me, gets there, & I do my stack. Both times.
The weird thing is that one of the shorties had less than 2 bigs on both occasions.
Now I don't know about you, but in those spots, I'm not taking on a Big Stack, I'm coasting to the win.
Shame I never heeded my own logic.
Sure, we can blame him, it makes no sense for him to battle with me. But I know his game, so it was pretty dumb of me to play those two hands really. I KNOW he never folds, so why did I get involved?
Anyway, another lesson learned, which is good. Keep improving these little details, & I have to get better. Probably.
Slight change of plan tonight, as I'm playing two UKOPS Tourneys, & doing Skype-ins - like that expression? - every hour.
So I may be able to play a handful of PLO8 DYM's alongside the UKOPS stuff, but I do find it hard to juggle the two disciplines at the same time, especially with the Skype things every hour, which need a bit of prepping & concentration.
I played the Super Roller last Sunday, same deal, & made a complete idiot of myself, & got roundly mocked by the 861 Presenter & Analyst, especially that **** Oxford chap. And tonight I'm playing BOUNTY HUNTERS, & I don't recall taking a Head Prize in a BH since about 2008.
Ah well, into each day, some good, some bad. c'est la vie as the Spanish say.

The Daily Comedian.
Mr Grumpy Gent, always blames others for his misfortune, was in fine form last night, & chimed in with this purler.....
Sky is a disgrace, **** site, the river card always changes things
Quite so Sir, quite so, I will look out for that.
Monday, two players with a Full House, yesterday river cards which change things. Whatever next?
