Well after that start i was down too like £7ish and in a game i think then i won a dym 1st game wohoo so a six max i was waiting on filling for ages i think if i registered at 9.30 in the morning iit would still not fill too 5. and i got a win in that 1 needed it at that point and it was a boost finished 2nd in another of them in which i was down to 50 chips and really should have won it as was at 5500 chips and played a silly hand.but second was not bad from then on started too play a lot better ended up a ok day after all.
won £14.87 in a £5.50 15 min100gtd so withat result i stand at £50.02

never wrote them down yesterday but this is the results
also gerarirl has started playing some of these as well. good luck
there was this hand last night which i seen happen and someone said too another player that they should not be going in after he bet.this player disagreed but if they look at it now they will see why. they have went in when they have double the shortie,s stack and also just gave the top stack the opportunity too knock them out as with the stack he has and raise he has made he is going all in and your also shoving before the shortie so he goes oh wll was folding too 700 so definetly folding too 2200 knowing there is a good chance the big stack is calling and if he wins shortie survives and gets paid!
Hello! I know what kag was saying as in I shouldnt have re raised in these circumstances. However no 1 I dont think he should have called my reraise. Infact when I reraised despite him being the bigstack I think the sensible thing would be for him to fold and not get invovled which is partly the reason I reraised as I expected a fold. Secondly I had a very strong handand its very possible he had a weak one as a raise in those circumstances by the big stack is common, and thirdly it would not take long at all for the short stack to catch me on one double up and suddenly i could be scrambling myself.
Trust me I know what your saying and trust me I know how dym strategy works as Ive played a few . Im not asking for an agreement but maybe giving my explanation (not that you need it as you have enough experience).
Have to say I really enjoyed playing the hi lo tables and the friendliness really reinforces sky to be way ahead of other sites. Thanks for making me feel welcome churchy.
i know what you are saying and understand your thinking and i know you have played quite a bit.but i would still fold that 1 the other player is a regular he won,t just shove with rubbish so thats my main reason for folding it and and at that stage i would just leave it unless i had akq2 or somthing like that..
as for the levels like we where talking about last night there really is not that much difference between the £2.25 and £5.50 games mostly the same players playing both levels just have a look at who is registered before u do.
well yesterday played quite well at times but still made some silly calls/bets need too stop that and try stop playing as many hands when i get a few chips. felt i could have done better last night on a few occasions got caught playing the player and not the cards need too stop that as well. well here is how yesterday went......
played 3@ £11 dyms won 2 and lost 1 +£7.00 played 4@£2.25 won 3 of them lost 1 +£3.00 played 16@£5.50 won 9 lost7 +£2.00 played in hi/lo tournaments 2@£1.10and busted on both -£2.20 played 100gtd @£5,50 finished 2nd got £37.50 back for a £32 profit +£32.00 also played in a timed 100gtd @£5.50 and 1 @£3.30 lost both -£8.80 played in 5 six max games @£2.20 won 1 2nd in 2 and lost the other 2 +£5.20
well yesterday was an ok day lost about a tenner but not that bad.plaed three £11 games and lost 2 thats where the real loss was so not too bad.
started yesterday of well won 7 out the 1st 8 at £5.50 but then went on too lose a few in a row just how it seems too be going for me the now need too tighten up and really stop trying too bust people and wait on them doing it themselves.
Also got too play in the hit squads hi/lo game last night had a laugh very freindly and a good game i played rotten and went out 9th of 12 i think but was good fun so cheers vespa
was going well in the £100 gtd game until the hands above.so pretty gutted at that
so here is roughly what games i played yesterday (full history below)
£2.25 played 4 won 2 lost 2

played 2x£1.10 hi/lo and got £4.00 in 1 so profit
played 3@£11 won 1 lost2
played a 3.30 hi/lo tourney which was just a heads up really won that
also played the hit squad this donk is fun hi/lo games but busted in that 1.
played a £1.10hi/lo game lost and wona £5.50 games while doing this so balance at £75.67 good luck all
Hi Churchy, I think I've played you enough times to offer a little advice. Firstly, I'd recommend you find a game you are most comfortable with, either the £1 or £2 DYM. Stick to it, don't deviate. The bank roll you have set yourself, isn't imo, big enough to play the £5 DYM games. Although the best DYM player in the world can often win ten games on the trot, the very same player can very easily lose five games straight. That isn't a problem if the bank roll can accomodate such losses, but it is a problem if the losing streak leaves you busto. That's the last thing you want to happen. There's also a danger that you will be scared to lose if you are playing too high a stake DYM. If that happens your game will be affected. Secondly, be selective with your hands in the early levels. Very selective. You will know by name the regular players who are more than keen to call with any four. As you know, these guys try to get involved in every pot. During the early levels, playing only the best starting hands at least maximises your chance (over the long run) of beating them. Thirdly, and probably most importantly, as others have said, when it gets to the later stages, the final four, get aggressive. Especially if you are short stacked. Don't flat call with a good hand, get your chips in the middle, If you run into a better hand, so be it, if you get outdrawn by rubbish, so be it. In the long run, being aggressive wins out. People will fold if they are holding junk and you raising with above average hands will see you winning more hands than not, when you do get called/put all-in. Finally, (From very personal experience I know this!) try not to play if you are distracted or half busy doing something else at the same time. The times I have miss-clicked, or literally misread my cards is insane. The game is hard enough to win when fully concentrated on what is happening, so don't reduce your chances even further by playing with one eye on the screen. That must be difficult with a new baby (congrats btw) but try your best. It is possible to win and to build a bankroll playing DYMs, it does just take time, patience, and a love of the game you are playing. You have to enjoy it, it is afterall a game, a hobby. That ultimately has to be more important than simply playing a game in order to win money. Very best of luck to you and everyone else at the HiLo tables. Apart from that bloke who calls everyone a clown, or worse. He needs a smacked bottom as he's a very naughty boy. Posted by Macacgirl1
afternoon all hope all is well..Well on too yesterday had a really good night and was running very well indeed i feel i probably played the best i have since i started this wee diary played 18 dyms and won 14 of them so really pleased i got a night where i beat them and not just scraping by with a small profit.
Things started of ok won 2out of 2 at £5.50 then lost 1 after that i never looked back i was getting it in and my hands where holding or if i was after a flush it would come just running really well last night pity the games dried up wish it could have kept going for another couple of hours.
played the 100gtd hi/lo played quite well in it and managed too finish 2nd for a cash of £37.50
played a small £3.30 hi/lo game as well only 5 players but i won it and got £15 back from that 1
i also played 3x £5.50 100 gtd timed tournaments (baby was up and no one was playing hi/lo) lost the 3 of them.
so all in all it was a goodnight for me ended up with a total of £141.77 (would have been £158 without the timed games)which is double what i started the day with so really happy with that..
well as i said things are a little tight at the moment due too me not working and the missus keeping me so i thought since i did so well yesterday that i would take out £60 so that i could take the missus out for a nice wee pub lunch since she had a day off work today so my balance stands at £80.77 this will be my last withdrawal until i hit a set target now its just trying too think of a realistic target as yesterday wont happen everyday...will come back with a target later but im thinking about £300 by the end of febuary..
also quite chuffed i have made over £20.00 in my cash for points and no i never tried the ps4 promo new i had no chance most points i have had before was about 1300 so thats a nice wee bonus coming next week..
well never played many yesterday just was not in the mood should have just turned the comp of and left it till today i don,t know what was the matter with me yesterday was playing but was not really concentrating my head was somwhere else oh well at least i stopped before i lost too much..
I would like too say a big thanks too all that have been offering words of encouragement in the chatbox and on this thread thanks..
And too the people who have suddenly been a wee bit nippy about this diary and what iam doing. I don,t think im very good at the game i have still got lots too learn and improve on but at least i am trying its quite strange knowing that after u have finsihed that you are going too post how good or bad you have done that day.like the 1st day i had too post results and i had busted the £24 that i had in my account and had too put another £20 in that was not the best feeling but thats the point of me doing this it is too try and make myself improve my play.
After that 1st day i could have just given up but thats not me i,am a determined person and i will hit my targets which will change as i hit each one too start with it was all just about how long could i play with my small roll.
Now i feel i should set a small target and then hit that and then make a new target.so the target which i think is achievable with the balance i have is£250 by the end of febuary so please all the haters keep donating and thanks for paying for my lovely pub lunch yesterday nothing beats a free feed and a few cold ones :@) also since i started this with my £24 + £20 i have took £100 out in total so i am over £100 in profit since starting this wee diary not a fortune but a nice enough profit for me considering i only play 2 tables at a time 3 at a push not very comfy with any more than that.
so yesterday i only played
4@£2.25 lost 3 of them
played 8@£5.50 won3 lost 5
played 2x£2.20 six max games won 1 for £7.80 and lost the other
played the 100gtd and busted in that as well also played a £1.10 hi/lo tourney and busted in that as well
so on too today hopefully later i am in a better mood and can start getting the balance going back up again.
good look all and have fun ..........balance is at £58.57
