well on a high still from last night with a slightly sore head as enjoyed most of a bottle of jim beam along with the roller last night... nerves
having got in I was saying to myself just play your game, last time I got in I had a bad run of cards but should have played better on my part.
cards where good too me last night, ill post a few hands here, hitting lots of sets which is always nice 44 especially good too me, dealt twice in a row, and set on the flop with each... miby the reason for my exit hand aswell very happy with how deep I went and would love to have got deeper, but a great achievement for me to get 14th I think anyway.
starting with, I should have shoved pre I think, I just called hoping too see a flop even though I knew if the bb shoved I was calling. and was lucky too hit here.

all in all a great night of poker and loved every minute of it, and hopefully get deep in some more tournaments soon.
Great result Chris. Did silently rail for a bit last night towards the business end. I'd suggest to try and eliminate open limping from your game though... Posted by hhyftrftdr
cheers thanks for the input aswell.
noted. about the limpin
it is a leak im trying too fix.... but harder than it seems
In Response to Re: diary of an improving player..........Cashed in the ROLLER 14th : cheers thanks for the input aswell. noted. about the limpin it is a leak im trying too fix.... but harder than it seems Posted by Chris_Mc
It is the easiest leak to fix by far...........just don't do it. Really is that simple mate
De Regged main and mini tonight, took a break chilled out until the mastercash hour,
sat at two tables of 20nl and left with about a £20 profit, had some nice hands which I got paid in a few but wp too waller, seemed too have good read on me and kept out of trouble. apart from one hand where he was unlucky but lost absolute minimum I think . wp waller02 enjoyed it at the tables
not sure that's a good thing but im fairly ABC on the cash table. ... I think
having done this though I've managed too achieve over the £500 mark on my BR.

That was my last ever cash session mate, just can't get to grips with it. Dunno if I should have raised on the flop with the 44 and then the board got even uglier to the point where I'm not even sure if I should have called on the river! I ran/played equally bad on the other 2 tables too and ended nearly 2BI down...........sticking to the mtt's!!!
You played really well during the hour though, a right ballache!
Congrats on reaching the £500 mark, it's a great platform to really push on now and I'm sure you will go from strength to strength.
having built my roll too over £500, I'm very happy, I'm not going too withdraw this as I do not need too, I'm pretty stable financially wise, no debts, no house though either as I'm saving for a deposit for a mortgage, but my family and I have very little outgoings allowing me too save quite a bit monthly.
having built this BR I now find myself worried about losing it, just a month ago I was happy to be over £100, then £200, then the aim was to be over £300, now suddenly smashing my target I don't want too drop lower, I see my BR as having £4 because I don't want too drop below the £5oo mark...... this cant be good, I don't want too be scared of play or stop what I'm doing.
is this just me??????? anyone else been in this position????
I feel I'm playing reasonably well and having some positive feedback from some regs' on the site, which is great and boosts my own confidence, I seem too be worrying about a bit of run bad which is inevitable it is poker and it happens,
Chris it may be a good idea to open another bank account, withdraw some cash and leave it there. But I must admit it's a strange one you feeling like that.
this is quite a common problem and is one reason there are progams available on other sites to block your bankroll from lobbies and registration windows.
i had a similar problem after a downswing a few months back. i dropped below a certain milestone that it had took me a while to reach. it was really bugging me so i deposited to take me back over the milestone insta snapped into a monster upswing and withdrew my deposit the next day, damage repaired.
you cannot take ownership of your roll in this way as it really hinders progress in a number of ways:
you decrease volume change to a low variance style that may not work downswings really affect you
when the inevitable downswing hits, forget your old bankroll: it's gone. just concentrate on growing like you did the last time you were at that figure.
if you defo cant get over the attachment to the £500 milestone then one practical step would be to withdraw say £150 and concentrate on grinding back to £500. you know how to grind a £350 roll. so prove to yourself you can do it again. if you want to move up a few levels then you can always reposit the £150 and you then have a nice £650 roll to attack the next stage of your devolopment.
the best thing is to try and let got of this irrational attachment to the £500 figure. dont worry about short-term fluctuations and focus on playing well and your overall trend.
I wont be opening another bank account though dagg, but is an idea for the future,
Thank you as well, teddy for taking the time to get back too me,
I think I'm going too play through and not get caught up in what I have, as long as I continue too play the way I have been I'm hoping too increase further,

I have withdrew most of my BR,
a few reasons for this,
we are saving for a mortgage, were going on holiday next month and would be nice for some extra spending money.
just incase things don't go as planned and lose it, want too take it easy for a while with the poker,
will still be playing, left myself with £40
I regged for a few tourneys tonight, a few all in sats,,,, fingers crossed, tomorrows main event and the fosp tourney
will still be posting on my diary, and the daily link hopefully, and just going too try and build what I have left in again over time.
