Snooker World Championship

Just been looking at the draw / form.

O'Sullivan not value for me. Basically getting 4/6 the field plus the chance he has a meltdown.

'The Rice Man' Ding Junhui might as well have a bye to the quarters.
This is my back-to-lay LOCK BET.

£8 @ 8.6 (BETFAIR)

Course & Distance winner John Higgins has a tougher draw in prospect (Bingham, Selby/Carter) but also has back-to-lay potential.

£2.50 @ 22 (BETFAIR)

Hopefully these trades will finance my individual frame betting over the course of the tourney. Inevitably they will backfire, leaving me no option but to chase my losses on greyhound racing.

Ronnie would be 16/1 if Milkins was in the field, lucky break for the rocket.

On a serious note I've taken the advice re Ding and backed him outright.

Like the look of over 1.5 centuries @ 11/10 in the Carter game that starts tonight, looks like it should go over 16 frames at least, and the guy who writes the blog below thinks this Chinese player is a darkhorse.

On a less serious note, he mentions a 'foul in frame' market, which is around evens evertime apparently, that could get addictive as a way of livening up the snoozeathon. #Gambooooool.

No bets for me, but I'll be supporting Kyren Wilson from my local snooker club. He beat Dott to get here and will fancy his chances against Ricky Walden. Go on lad!

    cheers splashies.

    Update on the trap challenge.

Trap 5 won only 1 race of the 24.

Insult added to injury as I place layed the winning T5.

Another good quote from the show tonight,

"I'd rather have a short priced winner than a big priced loser"

    LOL

I had a few quid on the trap 5 thing and watched 5/6 races. They all seemed to run bad in more ways than 1! Bumped all over the place. Would be interested in having another go at that though if you feel theres value to be had.

Bit weird seeing Neil Foulds on the panel.

Snooker tip from the commentator too, take Michael White to beat Selby on the handicap, makes alot of sense, Selby usually starts slow and grinds out wins. Will be on that.

The 'foul in x frame' bet was with bet365. I couldn't see it after frame 1 though.

I don't normally do trap challenge. Whilst I was preparing my bets around 6.30 I noticed an anomaly that I picked lots of T5s as fast starters. I'm not betting on them to win BTW.

Funny that neil Foulds was on there, he's a better hounds commentator than snooker. Sean Boyce of 861 fame presents there too.

Looks like you got the layers running scared on the 'fouls in frames' markets!!!!

I got ronnie at 3/1 a few months back.

His head is in a much better place these days. Still wouldn't put anyone off the 5/4. He's by far the best player in the world. Easy monies.

    Sighhhhh I agree.

Flirting with having my biggest ever single bet on him to take it down.

The edge is huge, the variance is low.......

He played on needing a snooker when 8-2 up v the no hoper in round 1. He must have his head screwed on, he wudn't normally do that.

    It's going on.

Good to see Ding + Higgins playing to the best of their ability.

Misery compounded by having an eyelash stuck in my eye.

In financial and physical pain watching this FFS.

PS - good luck dohhhh + goldenballz. Wish I thought of that.
O'sullivan matched for £1k between 5.6 - 5.8 on betfair. Looking good now.
