Can I say that I have nothing against betting emporium in particular. I think its impossible to back winners over time and when they post things saying they got 11 horses placed in 21 races at Aintree I genuinely do doubt that. If you're that good you'd be retired within a week. I'll take you up on 1 point though. "12pts each way" My point stake is £4 and I would have to punt £96 to follow that particular tip you mention. This is extremely  risky and doesn't encourage responsible gambling. Granted its good if it comes in. I will also apologise for ranting and being facetious and hopefully they bring you some more winners over the weekend.  edit*** i'll check out the link you posted now

No need to apologise, I just believe that to have a balanced discussion all the facts need to be known. Any sports betting is risky but if you have the proper bankroll for the stakes you are betting ( just the same as poker) there should be no way you go broke. Your point about the way you stake your points to £4 a point, that's your choice and it doesn't have to be a hard and fast rule. I often adjust mine regularly depending on the chance of the bet winning - I use the Kelly method and will mostly use a fractional kelly to adjust for the probability. It is certainly my responsibility and no one else's to ensure my gambling is under control. Finally I think that you are right in a way that some people will report outrageous claims about what they have won and tipped however if they can prove it then they must be given the benefit of any doubt.

Goodluck with all you endeavours and I hope you get the lot on the snooker.

Signed up to the betting emporium this morning. http://www.bettingemporium.com/ Fella suggests Mcmanus will beat Docherty. 8/11 too short for me to go big on again..... Think a playoff chasing Brighton will P all over an all but relegated Yeovil at home tonight, so added that to make a 1.27/1 double. Posted by DOHHHHHHH
His bet for tomorrow has come through, Fu +2.5 frames @ 4/6 (Coral)

So of course I'm going to be a plonker and ignore that.

I think this is very tough to call, over 22.5 frames @ 11/10 gives me 13-10, 13-11, 13-12 either way at a better price?

I just lose out on comfortable FU victory scorelines? Seems a strange anomaly given that Murphy is odds on favourite to win the match.

Or am I missing something? I must be. Messing with my head anyway I can't think ! :(

Anyway taken the 11/10 with Skybet for some interest, so get your moniez on FU 13-9 Murphy.

So I don't usually bet on anything but the snooker and tennis but even then I'm a complete wimp with my betting. I once bet £50 on Murray to win 3-1 when 1-0 down at 1/4 which came in but other than that my usual bets are £1, £2 on average!! So far I've had what I thought was a sensible bet of £1 on Robertson to win outright. (placed middle of his first game) Looks in good form and definitely one of the few players capable of beating Ronnie.

Had a less sensible bet on Trump to win at 9/1. He looked terrible in his first game and I was almost tempted to back the other player as his odds were pretty good and could see Trump losing. Placed it after he won at a price boost on sky. Case of heart ruling head because I love watching him play when on form, but if I'm being honest can't see him winning it.

Now, something I'm annoyed about is not taking a bet on a game yesterday - looked at the odds of Dale/Walsey and Dale was pretty good odds at 8/11 iirc. Walsey may have beat Ding but that was a fluke/one-off where he knew he was the underdog and so wasn't scared at all and just went all out to win. But now he's got more pressure on him now as he's expected to give Dale a game and I just didn't think he'd be able to produce the same form again under pressure. As we saw yesterday that was the case. Oh well, was probably only going to put a quid on it!!

Ronnie backers/fans, who are we supporting in the Selby/McManus game?

Selby, because he has the best chance of beating Robertson in the semis?

Or McManus to get rid of another danger in Selby?

Got to fancy if we make the final it'll be against 1 of the 'big 3' so AM winning this match wouldn't really help us (should we make the final ofc)?

    -----------

Nervous about this afternoon, it'd be nice if Ronald could get his nose in front for the first time in the match before the 23rd frame this time.

Ronnie seems to be a morning person lately.  i fancy him to win tomorrows early session 6-2 or at least 5-3.

I'd take 4-4 today.   (2-1 down at the moment).

As for the Selby game.  Want Selby to ease through (small bet on it),  dont' really mind who Ronnie beats in the final.

    That went well :)

Still playing dodgy, I don't know if that's a good sign or not. There has to be better to come.......

Nice to see the Aussie struggling too :)))

Neil Foulds was mentioned earlier in the thread.

Just come accross this clip of him doing some punditry for ITV4.

First 3 minutes are absolutely brilliant.

Rough day on n off the tables.

    Been a wimp, had £150 on Selby @ 5/2

    Think it's something likeeee....

    +£280 Ronnie.

    -£20 Selby.

Hopefully Ronnie is 8-0 up when I wake up sometime tomorrow evening. Head is hurting already.

9 bets on the exchange on the snooker: -£10.90

(not counting the Michael White handicap which was spoon fed to me by you/Neal Foulds and placed elsewhere)

Definite leak by the looks of it.

    :'((

FFS, his heads gone. Selby's doing a job on him.

It's like watching Liverpool vs Chelsea again :(

It's nothing a 4 mile run, a chat with the shrink and a Damien Hirst drawing can't fix in the interval!

He's below par all tournament, and has run insane with the run of the balls too imo. (have been sweating every single shot!) Hawkins still would've lost 17-13 or something but wouldn't have been thrashed had the luck evened out.

    Was always going to come.

Will find out how much he wants it now. C'mon Ronnnieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thoughts on the decision to cut this session short?

    Good for Ronnie fans.

Why not start it at 1pm in the first place?  Or put the evening session back half an hour and play 1 more this aft?

Could go on all night this.

    Strange.

This is craziness, continuous pressure of the world final misses from both players and it's only 11-11.
