I completed my 100th £10.50 Heads up just now... and it is as if I had cursed myself because earlier in this thread I had warned that although my winrate was good a 4 game swing could effect it dramatically.. well, I lost my last four games which left me:
    £10.50 HU
    63/100   63% W/R  +£210

I had a close call in an mtt, finishing 5/85 in a £55 bounty hunter for £222 inc bounties .. although I went for the throat when chip leader against 2nd chip leader...lost a big pot and then thought "I could have sat back and laddered to top three". I think that thought has entered my mind whilst trying to wipe out that 1k dip on my scope (hence this thread) ,top 2 would near enough have  got me there. But normally  I would have no problem with the fact that I went all guns out to take it down. Final tables are rare enough, so might aswell go for the top dollar whilst sitting at them!!

Anyhow after trying to believe the above to make myself feel better I will now enter my mtt +/- for the sesh:

    MTT/SATTS

    THIS SESH:
    OUTLAY = £151
    RETURN = £222
    BAL +£71

    OVERALL MTT BAL = -£1

    PROJECT 1K  +£209   £791 TO GO.

The inane ramblings of a drunkard!
What I should have wrote was.... After playing well and building a large stack I failed to notice that I was drinking too much. I was chip leading with 5 players left and 3 of those players were short stacked. My friend who goes by the name of Jack Daniels convinced me to go to war with the only stack that could do me damage. I played the hand in a ridiculous fashion and left myself in 5th spot. I then got my remaining chips in good and was outdrawn, but the damage was already done.
Had I have played properly or maybe soberly and took this tourney down I would have gone through the 1k barrier. It is also little wonder I lost my last four heads up games.

Hopefully lesson learned. I have a balance on this 1k project far short of what it should be and a stinking great hangover to boot.

Thanks Mrs D. I suppose I should be looking at the positives a bit more.

    Update.

I had a nice score in the £15k launch party game. I bubbled the final table for £390. Always bad to miss out on the final table but that 390 will go along way to helping me reach my 1k target.

    MTT/SATT SESH

    OUTLAY: £130
    RETURN: £464
    BAL: + £334

    OVERALL MTT BAL

    +£335

    OVERALL £10.50 HU

    68/110  W/R 62%  BAL: +£205

    PROJECT 1K

    +£540  £460 TO GO.

I am glad I made a decent score tonight because tomorrow has the possibility of a £100 odd dip, with me playing the roller. Satellites and a few others Sunday is the biggest outlay of my week. I'm also made up to have run so deep in a huge field because it will give me confidence for tomorrow.

Goodnight y'all... oh hang on... I played a player @ £10.50 HU and I think I need to report his offensive username to SKY. How do I go about it?

His username was....make sure your kids aren't watching..........ready?  username: NOGRAVY  ...wow it let me type it! The filter needs looking at too SKY!!

    Cheers Tikay.

    Update...

    MTTS/SATTS THIS SESH

    OUTLAY: £212
    RETURN: £607
    BAL: +£395

    Notable results..
Bought in direct to roller & failed two satellites and never cashed.
Came 2/86 in the £55 bounty hunter for £552

    OVERALL MTT BAL

    +£730

    £10.50 HU OVERALL

    76/120 W/R 63%  +£260

    PROJECT 1K

    +£990     £10 to go

A great weekend and so tantalisingly close BUT I notice that Tikay said on another thread that last night's £15k mtt has not been registered on sharkscope and the whole idea of project 1k was to turn my scope off, make 1k sensibly (not playing high stake hu and hyper hu) and reward myself by turning my scope back on and seeing it at it's peak. If that score of 390 from last nights 15kgtd doesn't show it leaves me at +£600 with £400 to go. So not sure what to do. Any ideas? I'm gonna sleep on it.

Looking forward to seeing result of roller in morning, my money is on Nutter5932. I'm new on here so don't know him personally but I am aware he is a top player and his name might be Ben? Anyhow he seemed to be at every final table being featured last night and looked to be in for a big money night, so good luck him.

    Hi,

Wasn't my night to win anything unfortunately. Bubbled punta Cana sat but won some money, 3rd in 55 9pm and 10th roller. At one point the night looked so promising and don't get me wrong it was good but it was a bad "good" night in my eyes because I made some mistakes in the satellite to lock a seat up and in the roller I just went card and spot dead 20 out for about the 18th time this year in main events. The 55 9pm is the only tourny I played well in overall.

One hand I remember from the 9pm when you called a players shove with a9 I think? Can you remember as I'm not criticising but you was always going to be drawing to 3 outs at most in that spot when the guy played about 2 hands in 2 hours. anyway keep up the good run lately

    Hi Andy,

I've no idea why, but yes, the results from the Launch Party affair do not seem to have appeared on Sharkscope. I've no idea why, maybe because it was App-based, but anyway, it is what it is.

You are £10 shy of your target, whatever way you look at it, so I reckon you should deem it to be included. You have no control on what Sharekscope do or do not include.

Well done - oh wait - you are still £10 shy. ;)

I think you can request for a result to go on scope, you may need a subscription though.

I don't recall that particular hand. I remember 3 betting you with aj and the BB then shoved me. I called and remember thinking then "why did I call? what am I expecting to beat?" I probably let the bounty factor influence me, still a daft call though. Maybe you meant that hand. Or maybe I called two all ins light? Either way, I did unravel a bit near the end and if i'm honest, with 3 of us left I started to play for 2nd, because you pair were being aggro and it was a matter of time before you both got it all in.

Ok I have made a decision. Rather than getting too wrapped up in the whole sharkscope thing I will consider project 1k complete. I will continue this thread and keep posting my HUs&go progress and will play 1000 games. I will not report all my mtts apart of course for the occasional binkage if I am lucky enough to have any more. But I have reopened my sharpcope stats so if anyone is curious about my overall progress they are welcome to take a look. I really don't mind and can accept natural downswings, but I am determined not to do what I did before, which was play games and stakes that I had no edge in. If I discover I am losing at a certain game or level I will work on my game, play different game or drop buy in level or all 3.

So gradual losses..ok. Sudden large tilty losses NO!

If I continue this thread it will help me stay disciplined. So it's (hopefully) onwards & upwards. but as for PROJECT 1K it's .......Hasta la Bisto gravy!

Hi. Long time - no update.
I have not had the chance to play much of late and have got a busy month ahead so won't have much to report for a bit. When I have had a session I have just played various games to suit the time I have or to suit my mood at that time.
This goes against the whole jist of my diary, 1000 games of 10.50 HU for example.. . I will however be playing a few mtt's and a few mixed buy in HU's. So will post occasionally to give the odd update. The last week or so has not been too pretty to be honest and although I don't want to look at my scope (It always seems to tilt me a tad if I look at short term dips...and I know it shouldn't!) I will leave it open.

In the meantime I have signed up for some coaching from a successful player on SKY, on other sites and live. I will also feedback how that went.

Thanks VERY much to everyone who has posted on this thread, it has been really helpful to me and I intend to get back into updating it regularly when I start playing regularly again in a month or so time.

Good Luck Hux. Repping it for the NW. Season bet on Leeds? Did you go high or low on the spread for the number of managers?
