    Hi all,

Unfortunately some of you have risen to the bait here and tried to prove Hogan's point.

He ask's are there Forum cliques that do not allow the others free expression.

My answer to that would have been no, however for anyone to suggest there are no cliques on this forum, like there is in any organisation, is to bury your head in the sand.

When I joined this site I liked deepstacks, I got talking to great people like Irishrover,Pillowman, Dav 1964 et al and there is no doubt we formed a band that pushed deepstacks , pushed our friends forward etc etc and it was no doubt it was a clique in dictionary terms. I know there are other cliques from reading posts and groups of posts on the site. You could even say the TKO teams are cliques.

Some of the responses could certainly prove to him there are some people who don't like his views and are suggesting he has no right to them. Those people commenting and supporting each other can be deemed to be a clique and I am sure Hogan is now rubbing his hands in joy. He has found a clique that seems to not like  individuals free expression. It could be said they are shouting him down because they assumed the worse and didn't really look at the whole picture.

SO PLEASE people look at all posts and try to take a full view before commenting. Dont give Hogan the ammunition to say bad things about the forums by denying the obvious and also suggesting from his first post that he is a trouble maker.

From reading all his posts on this thread it looks like some of you were right but in doing so quickly you helped prove his point.

So in summing up, there are cliques on this site, mostly nice ones but don't for one moment think that if you are in one, that outsiders do not see you as a select band, remember they feel left out and will kick. Also never think that your cliques's views are necessarily the correct ones.

And from reading the full comments on this thread, unfortunately you would now have to vote yes.

Another victory for a Forum basher.

    Hi all,

Oh dear it seems that whilst I was penning my missive lots of my clique (LOL) and friends were trying to move on from this debate and now it looks like my tuppence halfpenny worth could start a load more posts.

All I will say is that the reason I posted what I did was to try and get people to think first when we see these kind of posts. Try to think what the reason is behind it before giving people ammunition to stir up what is a pretty friendly place when people get to know you.

When people get to know you, ahhh perhaps that is the problem,  too many forum regulars see new posters as not being in the clique !!!!

An excellent post, and i'd have to agree, 75 % of the people who have posted in reply, have made my point adequately for me.....and by the way at the time of posting this 33% voted yes to the question.
I need say no more on the subject, most of you have shot yourselves well and truly in the foot!

no cliques here imo i personally repect every player regardless of whether they are new or have been here for years, so long as they are not abusive or out of order in any way And even if people are abusive or out of order i always give em a 2nd, 3rd, 4th chance... Why? because every one that plays this wonderful game of poker started playing it for fun... its only a game at the end of the day... and a game we all love and therefore we should all get along... I dont do cliques, i never have. I know what it feels like to be excluded and therefore i do not exclude anyone.

imo best post on this particular thread!.

The way i see any community online whether it be poker related or non-poker related is everyone should be their own individual self that can be civilised towards other community members (you are not going to get any community that is on the internet where everybody is lovey dovey with one another and there will be people that you will agree to disagree with - That is how life works!), make contributions in and around the forum and build a reputation that makes you come across as friendly and respectable.

Cliques are in my opinion are a dangerous thing because nine times out of ten, people get rubbed up the wrong way and get hurt in the process. I am my own individual and as far as i'm concerned people will either like me or dislike me and quite simply you take me as you see me - I AINT GONNA LOSE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS OVER BEING POPULAR WITH PEOPLE OR NOT - FACT!!!.....

I've only been on Sky Poker for about 4 months or so and i would honestly say that this is probably the most friendliest community i've been on and i feel that i have developed the start of some good friendships on here which probably means more to me than moaning about a stinking bad beat. Ok ill admit i have had a moan about some of my bad beats mainly because i'm a highly competitive person but you would certainly never see me being abusive over it where it would result in hurting someone's feelings because that is certainly not the person i am.

Overall all i would say to everyone is to be yourself and be civilised!....
