He returned from the break with 19,000 (19 bigs) & his exit was a rather cruel BvB affair. He made it 2.5x with A-J & got looked up, & they saw this flop....
J-3-3
Looks a good flop for A-J, but it don't play so good against 6-3.
I first met Perizoma at the WSOP this year, & was a little surprised to see he was a man, as his first name is Nicola, but he hails from Portugal I believe. Full set of dreadlocks, & extremely polite. Think he now lives either in Manchester, or somewhere else.
He won a Man Event package with Sky Poker this year, & he impressed me as a real nice guy. Not too many have won a full VLV Main Event package AND a Punta Cana package in the same year, I fancy.
Anyway, as I approach his table just now, I see him raise, then gets insta-shoved on - Villain 25 Bigs or thereabouts.
Nicola calls very quickly & tables Q-Q, villain sheepishly flips over a rather modest & optimistic 2-2. Yes please.
Hi, just wanted to check-in and say good luck to everyone still in the tournament. Unfortunately as Tikay said I busted, just had a bad run of hands late in the day. It happens. The silver-lining is I busted in the Caribbean - not exactly the worst place in the world to be.
Also wanted to say a big thank you to JP and Tikay who have been very welcoming and supportive throughout. Also when the 50 or so swim suit girls came in Tikays head remained deep in his laptop, true professional.
Am doing my level best not to bok anyone, but with just 35 minutes or so remaining today (clock says 40 mins, but they stop x hands early), this looks like being one of Sky Poker's better days. We already have 3 through from yesterday, so a decent Day 2 & beyond is in prospect.

Apologies if I have missed anyone, but it's well past my bedtime. That's it, I'm outa here, we'll be back in plenty of time for the 3pm (7pm UK) re-start. Been a great day. Same again tomorrow, please. Posted by Tikay10

It's 12pm and we're all set for day 2 of the main event which starts in 3 hours.
With a mixture of short stacks and very very tall stacks, we look to be set for a lot of action through the day.
In other news, Sir_Gary will be playing today in a secondary event, worth $900. Additionally, there's a $330 turbo side event starting this evening, so a few of our less fortunate players may be tempted. We'll try and keep you updated on both.

It runs out safely, & he catapults up to 75,000.
The last level of the day has now commenced, blinds are 600-1,200/200.
Adam Bromley 38,000
Natterley Bromley 81,000
PokerKinga 75,000
Munchkin00 73,000
Perizoma 65,000
BigBob the Plopper 60,000

Day 1B play has now ceased, & they are bagging up.
Most stacks are similar to the previous update, EXCEPT Perizoma, who has been on the tear & now has circa 160,000.
So that concludes a remarkably successful day, one way & another.
Play re-commences at 3pm tomorrow (Friday), or to be more correct, later today, as it is now 1.10am.
If I can get confirmation of closing stacks I will, if not, we'll do them before play later.
Night all.
BigBob57 29,900.
He found A-K suited just before close of play, & lost a goodly few chips, bit 30,000 is ok, should be about 20 Bigs.
Munckin00 - 57,100
Adam Bromley 42,000
Natterley Bromley 61,500
PokerKinga 56,000
Perizoma 144,300

ps as you're a greengrocer, wait patiently until the time is right, then squash them.
